Taking manual payments

Hi all,
I've decided to reduce prices by 50% for 1 of my dropshipping stores in order to do my bit for people affected with the current economic scenario.
The store already takes payment via a bitcoin payment processor. However, the commission per sale is quite high and I'll end up making a loss if i use the payment processor along with the 50% discount.
Therefore, I've decided to temporarily accept payments manually, that is, directly to my bitcoin address.
My question is: How do I communicate this to customers on my website without it appearing scammy/suspicious?

First time coming across someone accepting bitcoin on Shopify. Let's see how it goes.

Not sure wither you're using Shopify or Woocommerce but you should have an option to edit the checkout page with a notice saying you're taking manual payments. You can also set a pop up on the homepage, products pages, cart & checkout announcing that.

I am saying that it is not normal that people purchase things via BTC online. That must be a certain subgroup of people that are purchasing via BTC. And those people are normally geeks or younger tech guys

Well, not exactly. There are quite a large number of people who have a few bitcoins and happy to spend them.

i think if you just have a banner and make it clear WHY you're doing it, people will probably trust you?
Do you have other payment options like Stripe or Paypal? Just because that will help make you look legit.
