How are these channels monetized?

They have been doing montages and compilations for a long time so YT allows it.
They just don't allow new channels to get monetized like this.

Thats not true.

Compilation channels will always be a thing and there will always be a way to monetize those channels. It is not widely known but there are actually a lot of people that will license their videos for usage. Say, a licensing company is contacting a streamer saying "Hey, we offer you 20% of the revenue your videos generate with Youtube etc. - Some streamers will say no because they have their own channels but some people will say yes - So they allow the licensing company to "reuse" their twitch streaming videos to be published on Youtube. Once a video of the streamer gets uploaded without his consent, the licensing company will automatically claim it, also known as copyright claim and will recieve all the earnings. Now channels like above you have mentioned, they either have a contract with a licensing company to reuse the footage or they have a contract with the streamer itself so they get paid x% of earnings from the income of this video. In this day in age it's pretty common to do this stuff since youtube officially does not allow compilation channels anymore. The age of the channel does not matter in this case.

The other case can be that the videos are not monetized. I have tried this niche myself and never got a copyright claim (or only very few) from Streamers, that's because they either don't care, my channel was to small to be recognized or they saw it as an oppurtunity for them to grow. Just because there is ads running on the channel, does not mean that the money goes straight to the channel owner. It just means that someone on the video is earning money, The Streamer, the licensing company, or the channel owner itself.

You can also see that some of the compilation channels there have additional referral links from Amazon in there. So that plays into monetization as well. It still is a good niche to get into but the competition is getting bigger every day and you need some smart monetization ideas if you wanna earn big.

I know their channels pretty well and they use clips from almost every pretty well-known twitch stream.
Look at the YT channel "Hi I'm coconut" for example, they post daily compilations of funny and cool twitch clips from LoL streams.
There are also a lot of Fortnite compilation channels like this monetized. I doubt they have the license to all of the streams.
Are they not allowed to use their clips if they give proper credits to the streamer?

No, just crediting the streamer does not give you a right to use their videos. It depends on who you are working with and who takes their time out of the day to copyright claim or even copyright strike your videos. If you are a big shot in the YT Business you are most likely need to work with licensing companies as the streamers will recognize their potential income they are losing and claim their videos for their own. The licensing company just makes it automatically while a streamer needs to do it manually.

Think like a streamer in this case, you are making a lot of money on Twitch and all your videos get reused and made into compilations each and every day with millions of views, but you ain't getting nothing but recognition (which is still pretty good tho) - Now you could go through all these compilation channels and watch all of their videos, copyright claim them and make bank, but the licensing company will do this automatically for you, without you even lifiting a finger, they take a % of the income you generate, but to you, its passive income + the free exposure.

I would like that if I were a streamer because it is free exposure. You don't lose much money because of it I think. If you create your own videos then people who don't like watching twitch will still watch your content on YouTube. Usually they are faster than the editors of streamers because those channels just compile some clips and they are done.
 
I'm still confused. I don't thin The Carry shares his revenire or contact 200 streamers. I get if you upload content from 1 or 2 streamers but not from 200 or more.

Does anyone know if you copyright a song and add it to a multiple song channel and it does well can you get paid?

if u do a little more research and get contact with more people u will eventually find a few secretive methods to earn from others work.
i used to wonder the same thing until i met the right guys and learnt more.

i would really like to tell how these work but i dont want the info to go out.

anyway one of the ways which is a bit public i can say, some people add their own music and then claim from their parent channel etc.
that method also works, the channel dont need to be monetized

Do you have some method that could work for me? I upload videos of football highlights and I can't monetize my channel. If I join mcn, should that solve problem?

just make ur own music, join a music distributor network that can claim for u. add ur music with them.
it will be in content ID.

after that on ur scam channel add ur own Music as outro at the end of ur football video, and publish it.

immediately u will get 2 copyright claims,
one from the football copyright holders
and one for your music which will be claimed for u by the music distributor like for example (cd baby, umg etc)

if there are 2 claims revenue will be split 50 50.

50 percent revenue for the football guys and 50 percent revenue for ur music which will go to the music distributor u joined who will claim on ur behalf.

after the claim the revenue for u for the views u got on ur channel they will pay it to u after taking their cut.

u have to pay a certain amount to join these distributors like cd baby, umg etc

Great method.

Do you get all of the adsense money or do you just get royalties from the music publishing company?

Does the money get divided equally between all copyright claims on the video?

Say, the video contains 3:00 of a song from Warner Music Group then 10 seconds of my song, does Warner and me get paid 50/50?

I worked with a small artist once who had content usable with claims on youtube, they told me basically for them it works like this

You use their song, and they split the revenue share with you, even if your demonitized it doesnt matter since the revenue share continues anyway, so monetized or not you would still be getting paid, your basically an affiliate for their company

100 edited videos ? Is there any automation?
 
I know a guy who does this kind of video and is really successful & making a lot!
The thing is that they contact the streamers and if streamer agrees they use their content (that's actually a free promotion for the streamer).
So it's basically a win-win method.
