Hey guys, thinking on a brand name and i made a sheet with some names on it.

I got a good generic name like ¨ Crazy Crafter¨ but i was not sure about it.
So, i found some avaliable domains name like ¨ 7us ¨ . extension for a very affordable price.

For a local brand, how good is that? Since it was a number on it, is a bad deal and i should go for generic ones ?

I know some good brand with numbers: ¨ 9gag, 3M, WD 40...¨

Im flipping terms, is a good opportunity ?

I believe to choose the right domain you have to keep an eye in 3 major things
  • Short
  • Unique
  • Easy to remember
That's my personal thought about it, correct me if I'm wrong :) :)

1st thing you have to think is how will you send traffic to it. If you just need it so you will have a website and don't expect anyone to find you on google i guess you can go with any domain name or extension. If you plan to rank the website i guess your local extension will be the best choice. But like i said. If you only need it to list your business online go with anything you like

Thank you, i think the same !
That is why im asking if i got some gold or not ( 3 letters is very short ! )
And is easy to remember too.

I found some with one number and one letter, but is way out of my budget

And to answer your question a NLL even if is .com is not worth much. If it's not .com than it's worth 0$
Got it. It's .dev extension...

And what im looking is a original name.
And my generic one is far away from it.

Since i plan to start with a local business, probably IG + FB will be my main traffic source

Well, I'm not that expert in it, but i'll try to give my own thought if that helps
I really don't think it matters if you have 3, 4 or even 5 chars domain name if you are using it directly for your money site.
They are not that much worthy.

But, on the other side, I believe they are wanted and can be sold for some good price, which makes them profitable for sure.
Idk if that even added something, but it depends on what you are looking :) :)

Thank you.

Im looking for a original name.
Maybe i need to ask some people from my country what they think about the name.
I got one tip from a guy on instagram, very useful, after he read my ¨generic name¨:
¨ the name and logo are awesome depending on the clients and customer base youre trying to attract. Think of it as an outfit you put on. Should your company be wearing a tuxedo? or a t shirt and jeans? ¨

It probably would be a t shirt and jeans. And would attract the same profile customers...
Maybe im being close minded, but i dont think that this profile would bring a lot of money.

How's these names are looking?
  • Google
  • Apple
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Mercedes
  • Steam
  • G2A
And all the other popular websites out there.
Most of the names themselves don't make any sense,
But make sure the visitors will have as less efforts as possible to remember your brand,
At the same time, it should look and sounds like something cool, but simple!

Well, it depends.
Most of the time using a world isn't a good idea.
But if the world has a relation to the business or the overall domain still can be spelled and remember correctly, you can use numbers in your domain too.
