Ranking a quiz site on google

How can you rank a new quiz website on google?
I mean people dont use long tail keywords for the most part, so you cant do quizzes on long tail low competition keywords and stack them up like you can do with other niches
People search "best friends quiz" "Relationship quiz" more than "are we the best friends forever quiz"
Normally, in average 70% volume is in long tail keywords so i feel it s not the case in the quiz niche

Yes Content is king and relevance and user experience on the site and mobile optimization, structure, Media etc is important, but i guess youve millions of sites in the quiz niche, thousands just in "best friends quiz" Probably

If there is SO much competition it is nearly impossible to even appear on page one as every site tries to be the best, and if ur starting out having no Promo push, you ll get maybe a couple hundred visitors on page 2 at the end on some quizzes put of 100, u would need to upscale a lot for just Pennys

What should i do? Wanted to buy a quiz site here but i dont see any Future of it organically, i dont want to Spam in reddit or Facebook as it could ruin the site totally on google

I would disagree with the long-tail KWs.

People are still searching for them. Otherwise, they wouldn't get searches.

I suggest you use a KW tool, such as KW surfer and search for some long-tail keywords to see what suggestions will Google show back at you.

Also, regarding your website, ranking depends on different factors, so nobody will be able to tell you how fast you can rank for one keyword or another.

But, before you actually get to rank, I suggest you do some social media marketing because your niche can be quite viral.
 
It will be very hard to rank for quiz keywords. I looked at the competition at those guys are pretty solid with hundreds or thousands of quizzes covering all the good keywords. Maybe you should start thinking about getting some bots and some accounts and automate everything. In my opinion it will be impossible to rank for and quiz related words

There no such thing "impossible" when comes about ranking on google, anything there can be outranked, I personally compete with the big boys in adult niche with a domain which is just 3 and half years old age, but yes, is not easy, you need to know how and what to analyze to can find the doors and what kind of backlinks to can outrank an already established site.

Maybe not impossible but Quiz and related keywords are not something people type in google and don't click on the first 3 results. Most of the times someone does a quiz is cause they are bored and they just stumble upon it and think "Ya let me kill a few minutes with this"
 
There is really no difference between the two in terms of ranking.

SEO for quizzes works the same way as it does for the type of content, except you want to put all your SEO 'power' to the welcome page of the quiz (if that's a multi-page quiz) instead of internal pages (those are better to be excluded from search).

You research keywords/competition the same way and you rank it the same way too. The advantage is that quizzes get more shares and engagement off the page than the usual type of article + you can use tools like share locker drive even more traffic.

1 organic SEO visitor most likely to bring 1+ page views per visit on the article.
1 organic SEO visitor most likely to bring 10+ page views per visit on the quiz.

Monetization is most likely to be up to 10x higher as well.

Why should u try to rank the welcome page instead of the imdividual quizzes?
 
Another option besides trying to rank your site on page 1 is to look at alternative places to sell.
You could also make your own quiz books and you can sell on Amazon, Etsy, Ebay and others.
I would have thought demand would be quite high, especially during the current situation worldwide.

But what is the point of that?
Why not distribute seo power equally to each quiz?

You clearly didn’t get what said, welcome page of the site and welcome page of the quiz are different things.

You cannot rank question 6 of 10 question quiz, first of all it’s a thin content for google, second, what’s the point + most of the quiz plugins won’t even let you do that.

Your question is the last message is exactly what I am suggesting.

I dont want to sell them, i d let them establish on keywords and let the site generate ad revenue for the next couple years; that is the plan, but as it is so competitive i think someone might break my position after a couple years even if established, and also i dont know if i even can establish my site on the SERPs

I would ve used basic seo knowledge + ahref keyword analyzer to analyse my competition in the kws i get from forum questions + google's "people also searched" terms + ahrefs keywords suggestions

Would ve put in some passive link building strategy + tell small insta accs under 1000 followers to put my site in their bio permanently for a few bucks to get social signals and with that passively the backlinks from reaching so many people

But im not sure if i can even compete

Ive a few thousand dollars but i dont want to waste them you know

Yea, rank the welcome page of each quiz, that makes sense , would ve done that
But im veery unsure on how to establish on micro quiz niche kws, i need to find some unsaturated search terms

It is the same as you would do with the site. Some niches are more saturated than others, but I believe there’s room for everyone!
