How to Monetize content website with 2000 unique visitors a day

Hi all,

I have a content website which has these stats for past 30 days.

New users : 60,894
Page views : 76,887
Bounce Rate: 91.08%
Around 50% users come from US.
Niche : name suggestion
All traffic comes from organic search


I have already installed adsense on it which is generating approx 15$ a day average.

I am now thinking of adding affiliate links to it. Can you guys suggest some good ways to monetize this website naturally ?

I will not share website link with any body. But I can share screen shots if needed.

i think adsense is still the best option for you, also work on your Bounce rate, 91% is really high

It heavily depends on your site topic. I would go for related affiliate marketing, adsense or some sort of sales, etc.

However, high bounce rates shows, that your site is not creating interest for your users, that might be a big risk for future. What is your main traffic source?

That bounce rate tho! Have you found a workaround yet? Also, try applying for Ezoic, they have higher payouts. And your traffic volume qualifies! Although it doesn't guarantee an approval. Give it a shot!

Honestly i think if he gets 2k unique visitors per day, he should be happy making $15 with adsense, if that is true his Rates must be crazy high already to make $15 with just 2k uniques

If you've built your website using wordpress, I think you should get a plugin to reduce bounce rate. I think this is exactly how it is called. Reduce Bounce Rate. It will increase your website trust without hurting the general look or feel..

You can go with mediavine. They have higher cpm rates. Mediavine requires 25,000 sessions a month (usually around 30,000 pageviews), according to Google Analytics.

= $15

That's knocking on the door to an RPM of $6.

My advice is to stick with Adsense and work on getting more traffic.

First of all you need to address that bounce rate - have you got good internal linking? Have you done an analysis of your traffic flow? Once you get that bounce rate down start to look at other advertisers like ezoic, who pay higher than adsense.

Additionally you could sell banner space, do marketing post for brands for one of fees etc - but all to do with your niche area, different niche areas present different revenue stream opportunities. If you dont want to fully share your niche or site have a look at what competitors are doing in your area and try to mimic them.

My main traffic source is google and my niche is name suggestion .

Bounce rate is always highly dependent on a niche. For a name suggestion website with a certain structure, 90% bounce rate can be completely normal. And it is likely the case, otherwise Google would send his website to oblivion with lower ranks (on page factors matter a lot)

Mediavine will never accept such type of content. Do not waste your time trying to apply. Ezoic may, but it's quite a hassle with them, and they only optimize ad placement. In my opinion, giving your niche, Ezoic won't improve the RPM (which is already good for the niche).

OP: I do not know if your website suggest names for kids, pets, companies, or something else. Anyway, your best bet is probably some products that go with the name in the specific niche.
For example, if you suggest names for companies, you can dropship/outsource ball pens with company name on it.
This is of course just an example, and unless I know what kind of names you suggest, it's hard to give a more specific recommendation.

But you have a decent traffic and you should definitely work on improving the revenue.

Thanks for your reply. My website suggest names for variety of things . For example "youtube channel name" , "facebook profile name", "ngo name suggestion" etc etc. Can you give more suggestions ? I can share more details in pm if you want.
