To start off, I want to give credits to @Rachmaninoff for his post " [Guides]Get this pandemic backlinks ".

I'm pretty new to linkbuilding with Web 2.0, so I will be testing out the strategy very carefully. The domains I'm using are owned by the company where I work for so I really don't want them to get suspended. I will be testing the effects of Web 2.0 backlinks on four websites. One is my (new) money website and three are PBN sites. Important note is that the PBN sites will gain no other backlinks besides the Web 2.0. This way we can identify the exact effect of the Web 2.0 backlinks. The money website will be comined with intensive backlink building strategy (just whitehat guest blogging). The metrics which we will use to analyse the effort will be:

- MOZ: DA and PA
- Ahrefs: DR and UR
- Majestic: TF and CF

There will be three different backlink building strategies.

Slow: We build 2 Web 2.0 backlinks within 30 days
Medium: We build 3 Web 2.0 backlinks within 30 days
Fast: We build 4 Web 2.0 backlinks within 30 days

I will update the metrics every friday. With all the gains and losses.

Current status (4-4-2020):

Website 1 (Money website - medium strategy + guestblogging):
  • DA 1
  • PA 6
  • DR 6
  • UR 0,7
  • TF 11
  • CF 18

Website 2 (PBN - fast strategy)
  • DA 11
  • PA 8
  • CF 19
  • TF 0
  • UR 7
  • DR 0

Website 3 (PBN - medium strategy)
  • DA 9
  • PA 19
  • CF 25
  • TF 26
  • DR 2
  • UR 16

Website 4 (PBN - slow strategy)
  • DA 12
  • PA 20
  • CF 14
  • TF 0
  • UR 4
  • DR 1

Next update will be 11-4-2020.

P.s. I'm open to suggestions. Just keep in mind that I will keep the strategy as a VERRY careful approach, since the domains are not mine.

I am curious...

Are you tracking the change in third party metrics from backlinks rather than SERP change? If so, why??

The only thing that matters when backlinking is ranking changes. Third party metrics are useless.

Don't mean to rain on your parade, but tracking keyword positions would be a much better way to track the effectiveness of any SEO efforts.

Good point. The only website that's interesting for SERP changes are the one for my money site. I'm keeping that analyzed, just not taking it with my post, because the money site isn't properly indexed yet.

The PBN sites only contain thin content and links to clients. They are made only for one purpose: to drip down juice. So the SERP changes of PBN sites isn't part of the goal I'm trying to achieve

4 links in 30 days is the fast strategy? Omg. I predict that none of the sites will even move, no joke.

Link quantity is too low and its freaking web 2.0 dude... not powerful links at all.

Thanks for your reply, very helpful

Not trying to ruin your campaign but @Rachmaninoff himself said that this kind of backlinks used as diversity not power link.

Keep us updated buddy! :)

I am following your thread mate. I think this is going to be interesting. Let's see how the result comes out.

Thanks!

4 links in 30 days, I'm betting it probably won't move the needle.

How is going on your journey? All good?

Thanks for the reminder. I just did a quick check. Results after 1 week:

Website 1 (Money website - medium strategy + guestblogging):

  • DA 1 + 5 = 6
  • PA 6 + 8 = 14
  • DR 0.7 + 2.4 = 3.1
  • UR 6 + 6 = 12
  • TF 11 + 3 = 14
  • CF 18 + 3 = 21

Website 2 (PBN - fast strategy)

  • DA 11
  • PA 8
  • CF 19 – 2 = 17
  • TF 0 + 9 = 9
  • UR 7
  • DR 0

Website 3 (PBN - medium strategy)

  • DA 9
  • PA 19
  • CF 25 – 1 = 24
  • TF 26
  • DR 2
  • UR 16

Website 4 (PBN - slow strategy)

  • DA 12
  • PA 20
  • CF 14
  • TF 0
  • UR 4
  • DR 1
