Made $30 on two articles today

sorry red. i cant seem to check my pm either so i guess i will just email you.

@ HappyHolidays - "I also avoid the paid assignments where they want a list of 10 items or ideas. I've done those before and my god, they take forever to research and write, even if it's a stupid gift guide type assignment. 5 times, fine. 10? NO THANK YOU."

Lol I totally agree. I don't see how they think anyone would want to go to those lengths for the pennies they offer up for them. Although I guess people do jump through hoops and actually do them or AC wouldn't bother. Lol there's a sucker born every minute. ;)

Btw, that's shocking that you've never been offered any partner calls!

@ Vicious - It basically revolves around your content. If they feel like you're sending them too many that aren't quite unique enough, or "shallow" as they like to put it, they'll start to throw that message up at you. They'll do this at times even when they've been accepting everything on a regular basis. When I get that message, I'll just let that account lay low and submit less often to it for a few weeks.

As far as what would happen if someone submits 50 in a day to a single account, a bunch of perfectly good articles will end up getting denied for upfronts. ;) Plus, the articles they do accept will end up pulling in lower offers.

Thanks, I guess in my effort to churn out more articles I let the quality of them drop. Guess I will take it easy and go for higher offers.

or publish them in 5-10 article batches under seperate accounts. From what ive seen you really cant do volume with them consistantly without multiaccounting.

Okay, I see. Then I have been going about this the wrong way. I have been trying to white hat the whole process and use one account for a lot of submits.

Red...not sure if Ive asked you this before but have you ever messed with adsense? I figured with all that content coming in, making some a small army of micro niche sites for $10-15 a pop (outsourced) would be easy and profitable....that being said I am clueless about monetizing and adanced seo or I'd probably give it a shot myself.

yeah AC makes it difficult...even for people that WANT to follow the rules.

hi everyone,
i just wanted to let everyone know that you can make good money with this system. I began 3 weeks ago and i have been getting between $3.20 and $4.50 for my articles.
Also i just got done with a coaching session with red and it was terrific. I got all the help i needed and then some.
So if you are thinking about giving it a go...start tonight.
It will work.

@ livinitup0 - It's funny you mentioned that because I am getting ready to start that exact method. I'm going to outsource the creation of mini-sites that will push both Adsense and Bidvertiser. The content itself will point to CPA and affiliate offers. I have a good friend Hammad24 that I'm trying (in what little spare time I have with working AC and compiling the 2nd book) to get everything put in place with. It's a great method and totally whitehat, but takes a lot of time in niche research to be successful with it. Maybe we can bounce some ideas off each other if you give it a shot.

@ vicious - "yeah AC makes it difficult...even for people that WANT to follow the rules."

Exactly, they pretty much force us to blackhat them. Read JonWrong's post from about 10 pages back which will shed some light on how AC treats their "whitehat" writers. Lol needless to say, Jon is now blackhatting them and kicking ass with AC.

@ showerhater - Thanks mate for the kind words, I'm glad you found the coaching helpful. I hope to hear that your upfronts continue to climb! The Twitter method I taked about is 20 or so pages back, and then JonWrong left a detailed post about 4-5 pages back about how he's been using it successfully.

Btw, I sent off the email with the list I was talking about, let me know if you if it helps.

Cheers,

Red

thanks for the advice. i'll go digging for that thread now. i'm thinking of doing 4-7 unique articles each day. well at least that is what i want to try out.

Hey guys just wanted to give you another resource for your AC promotion stuff. (sorry if this has been discussed)

Im a member of this site called authorsden.c0m. Basically its a kind of dumbed down version of facebook for writers. You can set up a writers portfolio and post articles, fiction whathaveyou. I usually post "preview articles"of about 100 words or so (first two paragraphs usually.....sometimes copied straight from the AC article) and put a link to the full AC article at the bottom. Something like "Click here to read the full article".

Ive only been messing with it for a short time, but i usually average an extra 10-20 PVs a day per article I post there. You can also view unique page view statistics per authorsden article.

I'll keep an eye on the progress of it but I think its safe to say that an extra couple hundred PVs a month per article is worth the 2-3 minutes it takes to post it. tbh im not sure if theres anything wrong with copying over the actual bit from the AC article (if you gave them exclusive rights) but i really dont think it matters....worst case just paraphrase the authorsden preview.

Anywho...just thought id share.
:)

Awesome, thanks for the share. Every little bit helps so it sounds like a great option. If a person has enough published articles at AC to spread around, it sounds like they can use a few accounts with the site and double up its effectiveness.

You know that is a great idea and that just gave me another one. Why don't we start up a social community on ning for all of us working AC? If we do that we can first help each other with PVs and even get others on board later on... Thoughts?

Sorry but no thanks.

Not a good idea. It's called BLACKhat for a reason.

AC spies and AC officials would like nothing better than to do a mass ban. I wonder how many writers AC would be left with if that ever happens, lol.

A community of AC blackhat writers. :D Nice concept but that would means that EVERYONE would have to be careful. One slip and the whole community ends up getting banned from AC.

At $1.50 per 1000 views, I'll pass and keep tweeting on twitter and other micro-blogging sites.

I've been doing a personal AC experiment for the past 2 months. I ideally want to give up the other writing gigs and do AC full time... but need to make the bills too. I don't have outsource writers. Having horrible luck landing even one gem.

Anyway.....

My main discovery is the niche keywords and titles I use seem to affect my AC upfronts the most. I know how to find the low competition, high paying KWs but those don't seem to matter on the upfront offers. Even though the ad clicks for AC would mean more money to them! LOL

I'm using the techniques in the eBook and from the thread but still haven't found any 'golden ticket' keywords that will get me much more than $4 in offers.

Guess I'll keep plugging along. Starting today, I'm going to be more consistent on the inside article links and references. I've been lazy on those! LOL

I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for this thread. I'm thankful for the friends I've made here. I'm thankful there is a place like AC to make some money.

Cheers to all!

I was wondering, how much are AC paying for videos? If it's decent and in-depth 100% informative?

At one time, it was around $8 a video. I'm not sure what the amount is now. I haven't tried that route. I know one woman was making a killing by doing videos every time she cooked a new recipe for her family. Then on top of that, the ingredients were tax deductible! LOL

That gets me inspired again. Maybe I should figure out how to get Cam studio program thingie for free?

If you try them, keep us posted on how they go.

Hopefully, someone else has done them too and give us a better idea.

To Leila and Millygirl,

I tend to agree with Milly on this one, it's a great idea but makes it pretty easy to get caught up and mass banned. Unfortunetely, BH'ing AC kind of needs to be done on an individual basis to keep our accounts alive and well. We already know the cackling hens will go to pretty great lengths to get us nailed. ;)

@ ttraffic and Shawndellah - Typically, vids are bringing in chump change nowadays. I did my testing a number of months ago and they were getting $2-$2.5. Other people I've talked to have been getting the same lowball offers currently as well. It's a shame that there isn't more earning potential there, especially considering the growth of video as the medium of choice for gaining quick information. As time goes on maybe AC's offers will start to reflect on this fact a little better.

Like Shawndellah said, post up with your results if you dive into it ttraffic.

Have a great Thanksgiving you guys!

That is too bad. I was considering trying my hand at video submissions but there is no point to it. On another note, I wish AC reviewed items faster. I have an article that I would like to write and submit but it will not go through in time to be very useful for me. Maybe I'll tweak it so I can use it at another time.
