I know this might sound crazy, and I'm going to get laughed at and ridiculed and all that, but that's okay because if things carry on as they are no one will care, but please just read a little bit to understand what I mean.
What do Black Hatters do? Hackers, crackers, clever people who get around software or algorithms?
You take a system designed by people who all learned the same way, and think the same way, and produce systems the same way, and you find ways to get around that.
How?
Because your brain is wired differently, probably far more intricately than the people who designed the system.
You look at the problem from a totally different perspective, you see it differently, you think about it differenty, you approach it differently, you solve it differently.
What you see as a problem to solve (to get what you want), they see as an operational system (to stop you getting what you want).
But you invariably win.
You get around their safeguards to make the system behave how you want it to behave.
A persons body is a system, the cells contain genomes which are the software, this virus is (ironically in this case) the security system that needs to be disabled or destroyed to make the cells behave how you want them to behave (i.e. normally).
The doctors and virologists are the system engineers who all think and behave in the same way.
So, if you stop thinking about the coronavirus as a disease, and think about it as a problem in a system that needs to be overcome - how would you do it?
Quick top-up on viruses and how they work:
1) Viruses tend to have 2 or 3 parts.
These are:
a) The DNA or RNA (the virion), the software that does the damage.
b) The protein shell (the capsid), a protective layer to shield the DNA or RNA until it's ready to pounce (like a security or anti-virus layer).
c) A fatty layer to protect the protein layer, so like a secondary security layer that needs to be solved.
Most viruses are about 8 genes, making them easy and fast to replicate once they invade a cell, compared to c. 20,000 to 25,000 genes for a human.
If this was a virtual/software system, how would you look to get around, behind, through, hack, crack, smack, delay, hinder, find a back door, trap door, any door, destroy, de-activate, inhibit - whatever - how would you approach this security feature to disable or destroy it?
Forget the minutae of the science of proteins or chemicals - thinking as a broad system - how would you attack it to neutralise it?
Some really lumpy and clunky ideas - and I bet you that some people here could come up with some far smarter and successful ideas:
1) Would short term radioactivity kill the virus: something non lethal to humans but lethal to the virus, like radioactive oxygen.
2) Oxygenate blood outside the body while flooding the lungs with nitrogen or some other gas that would kill the virus.
3) Activate via a virus signature the apoptosis (kill switch) inherent in cells that also kills viruses.
4) Stop trying to find the needle in the haystack of "bad virus" cells, and instead identify the 99.9% of "good cells" - and find a way to kill all else.
5) Attack the fat shell and protein shell - dissolve those the virus dies.
6) Find a way to attack protein synthesis.
7) Stop the mRNA process (the messenger signal that sends the virus to new cells).
8) Stop the virus from forcing cells to create copies.
9) Stop the uncoating of the virus so it can't corrupt cells.
10) Stop the assembly process to stop the virus creating copies.
I'm looking at this and thinking about this from what I've learned from the people who teach the people who design the system. I.e. clunky obvious thinking. What's the smart thinking to get around this system?
What can BHW hackers and crackers see?
There must be a way around this or through this or a way to trick this that the same old people with the same old education who look at it in the same old way can't see.
It's a system running software and that can always be tricked, bypassed or changed by people with the right mindset.
I'll bet you that if there's a solution, it'll be someone like you who discovers it.
It's NOT going to be vitamin C or the other clutching at straws ideas we're seeing.
