Hello, I am writing from Turkey.

I lost my job, looking for an idea.

I have many ideas in mind, opening an e-commerce site with the best idea and selling products.

I need your suggestions Thanks.

Ecommerce is saturated unless you have developed a unique product that you want to sell. Focus on services. A friend of mine is developing pitch decks for startups and charges $1000 a pop for a 30 minute initial call, a day's work for the designing, and another 30 minute calls for corrections and stuff. And his only skills are Powerpoint and Jargon-free Technical English.

whats type of skills sets and experience do you have?

E-commerce is good, try dropshipping model to start with.

Dropshipping is 20 year old stuff, doesn't work like it used to, and the aliexpress thing doesn't work now thanks to corona and the trade wars. If you get into ecommerce you need a unique product or a warehouse with a lot of inventory.

Focusing on services is what I'd recommend.

ecommerce is not saturated, there is ALOT of opportunity out there. However if you are going to buy cheap crap from china and do 10x markup then yes ecommerce is saturated. But if you have a good product that actually helps a problem and that is unique, then ecommerce is very lucrative

if you are planing to start ecomm make süre you have the right products. Even amazon didnt able to make mark because of hepsi burda n other big player.
Also you have to register company to get payment. There is no payment gateway provider which works without company documents.
For company you need to speed atleast 12k lira * this amount is 3 years ago.

In my option i would prefer to sell product using platform like insta, sahibinden, or even fb marketplace in begining n see how it goes

Freelancing by way of providing your services is a good first step as this will help you earn sooner than what other models would get you. Assess your strength and skill set first. Do some research about where all these services are being provided on freelancing basis. Understand the pricing and pitch yourself in accordingly. I am sure you will find your way. I wish you all the best!

Honestly brother use your stituation to your advantage. Introduce winning products from the western market to Turkey. I can speak Turkish but cant write it.

Look into dropshipping. Aliexpress gives options to ship from Turkey. Build the website in Turkish. Theres a learning curb but its definitely worth it.

This here^ Dropshipping may be saturated in the western market, but bringing those products to your Country might be a good shot. I constantly wish I was fluent in languages outside of English so I could tap into more markets that are non English speaking.

Dropshipping on Amazon,eBay or Etsy. I am saying this because people sales surge 20 - 30% due to COVID19. People prefer to stay in their homes. And instead of going to the mall which is closed, They go to eBay, Amazon. etc.

For starter, try blogging. And than, Youtube + CPA. There are lots of journeys and articles in this forum to help you out. Good luck

I would trust Paranoid Androids' word on this. Both ecommerce and dropshipping have become really saturated.

Try something new and you will succeed.

Why don't you look into micro-niches?
Like for tech, a store dedicated to gadgets of all kind etc..

Find a product that is not easily found in your country then find a cheap supplier and sell it. Dropship some items to Turkey if you can. It is quite profitable given you do things right.

How does he acquire his clients?
Network? Cold-Calls?
