This is panic buying, not a "need" no one needs hand sanitizer, at all.
Again, they are profiting off of idiots.

Indeed, I'm not against selling it, I'm against abusing the rates to such an extent that only the rich survive. I've noticed atleast 5 people go empty handed from the medical store in our vicinity due to having less money. I purchased a mask for an old man who almost looked homeless (he wasn't) but that's about it. 10 rs masks are selling for 450 rs here.
And due to this, my city is on high alert now. Even section 144 imposed an hour ago. If people aren't gonna think about others and let them suffer, this was bound to happen. Cuz one person who can't afford something will be the reason to affect others. 12 positive cases detected today itself.

Only way the markets will go back up is when they find a vaccine or cure. Rumours that Israel will have a vaccine soon. I hope others do too.

Do you have any idea how much does it cost to develop a pharmaceutical product that actually comes into the market from the moment that new drug is discovered?
You need to go through screening thousands of candidates, making hundreds of modifications on those drugs, to make them have the exact properties you want. For this you need years of dozens of paid full-time PhD researchers working on that new drug.
And once a potential candidate is identified, you are only getting started. You have to optimize it further through different phases, which also take more than 5 years.
And guess what. In any of those phases or trials, your drug might be just not good enough, and you need to drop it, and all those years and investments are not even potentially profitable anymore.
Each drug that is on the market needs an average of 2.6 billion dollars to get there. It takes at least 10 years for a single drug to go from first discovery to market.
So of course they are being sold at prices much higher than manufacture costs. You need to cover all the R&D, not only for that drug, but for the others that didn't make it through. Otherwise pharma companies would not exist and we all would just die in our 40s

Learn to be a little bit human. Money is worth nothing.
