I’ve always wondered - how much does Spotify actually pay for streams? I’m in the music industry but never get paid royalties through my streams (probably a clause in the contract somewhere) when going through a label. If I were to go independent or even start a label how much money is there to actually be made?
Anyone else making money streaming with Spotify?

Around $3/1k streams. A lot more than Youtube pays.
what about through other stream platforms after distribution.
and through sales of a track?

I only deal with Spotify. Nobody is going to buy any of the songs from doing this, it's strictly sending streams through Spotify.
I might offer it here as a service later on.
The genre of music doesn't matter, just long as it's original and live on Spotify.
Songs aren't expensive for what you're getting. Some distributors charge a fee per track and some are free, but take a percentage of your earnings. The one I use charges a yearly fee and that's all.
I recommend a maximum of 30-35k streams a month per track, and you also need to have followers to make things look legit. A good rule to follow is 30k/month per track and 5k followers per 100k streams.

You can only upload directly if you're one of a select few who have been invited by Spotify. For everyone else, you need to use a distributor.

Once you're past the initial 2 month wait when you start out, you're getting paid monthly anyway. January streams pay out at the end of March, February streams pay out at the end of April, etc.

what about edm tracks, where can i get them from and not worry about being banned or get a copyright strike?

It's difficult to say really. It would be naive to think they won't try to make it more difficult to do, but it has been around for a few years now so I don't see it going away any time soon. You can never count on something staying the same though, so it's important to be ready for any changes they might try to implement, just like with Google or anyone else.
I get mine from someone I met through Reddit a few years ago. There are lots of amateur musicians on various subs there. I definitely don't recommend buying them from Fiverr though. All I've heard from people who've bought from there is the songs were either total garbage or were ripped from somewhere else and rejected because of it.

I know I've responded to another one of your threads. After a bit of digging it looks like you're pretty familiar with the platform. I've been pretty much doing what your doing- but much more manual. I'm interested in hearing more about your your methods to beat the algorithm. The end goal is to be able to scale it to a point where we're generating over 6 figures a month. Spreading each artist account thin across the board.
- What is your percentage of premium/free users?
- Ratio of proxies to users?
- What are the known safe limits?
We have the capital to generate those numbers, but our albums get taken down every 2-3 months, jeopardizing the payouts after the waiting period.
