Haha wow this mental thread got stickied.. a thread full of misinformation, hysteria, propaganda, insulting members, accusing jr vip members of being previously banned with zero proof.. basically if I needed an example of a cluster fuck of a thread I’d send them this link.
As someone else and then myself pointed out, funnily enough https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/your-best-ever-investment.1199188/page-3#post-12889724 new sticky thread here in the lounge - the new sticky threads around the forum recently leave A LOT to be desired, some of them are complete and utter nonsense. I get the feeling they’re being stuck just because they grew fast, which most trolling and nonsense threads do because people are sheep and like to join in the nonsense too.
Crazy I didn’t think it was possible (any further), but the quality around here is seriously declining. I worry for the future of this place to be honest.
On the subject of corona, as it is a relevant topic right now, a staff member could have made a thread with weekly updates or some shit and stuck that... this thread though, this is just insane and new readers of this forum that land on the lounge first and read this thread, well good luck attracting them back again or having them upgrade to jr vip with the hate and nonsense displayed in here.. now stickied for everyone to see.

I do believe this thread has a point, nobody's freaking out about dying but it's more about how it's affecting the economy and our daily lives. I'm new in the forum and I find the thread kind of amusing, actually.
As for it's usefulness, I'll try to share here what my reactions have been.
I started panicking at the end of january as I was just starting to get a lot of traction on a website in which I sell stuff from aliexpress. First week of february I marked it all as out of stock/preorder. Again, not because I don't want my prospect costumers to die of coronavirus, what I don't want is chargebacks and customer service chaos (as I would have to respond for it myself and it's a job that doesn't pay much in this kind of situation). It's sad because this situation has kicked just when I could've started to see some results to my work. But I'm always better safe than sorry.
I also cancelled a flight to Berlin. Again, it's not that I'm afraid of catching a cold, but I would hate to be forcedly quarantined far from home and in a worst case escenario, without an internet connection. Also, I always travel with my cat, so it's and added problem if I happen to end up quarantined.
To sum up, not much for your health but more for your sanity, cancel unnecessary traveling, and take down dropshiping from China temporarily.
I don't think it's a 'hoard food and water" kind of situation, but I believe it deserves a bit of common sense, we shouldn't be acting like nothing it's happening. Don't travel like nothing is happening. Don't expect services from China to be like nothing is happening.

I wasn't trying to start a discussion here btw, I truly believe you guys aren't panicking about your lives. If you are, then I'm sorry if I offended you. I don't know who's right or wrong mate, I was just sharing my opinion.
Take it easy guys, if dark times are coming, we should all be in the same boat. Not literally though, that could get us all infected.
