Been using info in here for a year but just decided to register.

I'm a highschool dropout who grew tired of bartending and has been running a web based business for a year or so. I run 5 different themed (or niche like you say around here) blogs with a combination of POD/dropship shops, affiliate links, and since two months ago also AdSense (took time to get approved because I wasn't focusing on it). Some are growing faster than the others. I work on one or the other depending on how I feel / what ideas I got.

I'm very creative so I've got no problem writing, designing stuff, and so. My problems usually come from being unable to mantain focus, feeling shy even through email (cold mailing for link building gets hard and other ridiculous stuff). And a notable lack of discipline.

Easy way could've been freelancing (writing, designing, etc) but that would still mean working for others, something I grew unable to do after years of having stupid bosses on my bar jobs. I'm simply done about getting money in exchange of giving away my labour. That basically means I do all the work on my websites.

I'm not swimming on cash yet based on what I earn but I've already spent a year working like a maniac to build assets that I'm absolutely certain that will bring me back the value they're offering. It's only a matter of time. And of not loosing track. I've been able to survive doing unattached websites (not meant to be a long term asset, not linked to my other sites) which basically follow practices I've learnt here.

TL;DR I'm crazy in the head, can't take any kind of authority since I was a teen for some reason, found my way to survive in society through IM, got a lot to thank you guys in here because you taught me lot of stuff.

So yeah, thank you and see you around.

You got fish when you signed up?

I never got any fish.

I'm filing a formal complaint with the Department of Fish for Forum New Members.

Can we file a group complaint ? I did not receive any fish as well. Outrageous !

LOL

don't want to kill the joke but the title meant that I've been feeding my cat fairly good tuna and stuff thanks to things I've learnt in here before registering.

Lol, when I read the title I thought you were leaving the forum, then I realized it's a "hello".

What was the worst part about bartending?

What was the worst part about bartending?

I was a bartender way back when I first moved to Florida (Orlando) and had a sales job in the day and bartended 5 nights a week.

People throwing up on your bar was by far the worst as you had to clean it up.

The OP may have worst experiences but that really sucked.

That is brutal. Did you have a bar-back there?

Yeah I did - his name was BTB as the job included being the bar back.

That was back in the day when you did not stop serving someone because they were trashed as it was not part of the culture so I'm sure I over served too many people and got paid in vomit for doing it.

Today they cut you off after they see you are inebriated so it is probably not as bad an issue.

Awww, love the title and your cat too! Good for you two :)
my cat is so lovable I can't even take it sometimes.

yeah I must say I'm not a dolphin, either. not leaving and not a dolphin but I have some towels around.

people. I know, it's a clique answer. I can take long shifts, clean shit, serve thousands of mixed drinks in an hour what I can't take is people not being nice. Also, not much of a tip culture in some of the countries I've worked. I would say some European countries rate for the worst possible hospitality costumers in the planet. Unpolite, demanding, and 0 tips.

Yeah, did that a thousand times. Clogged toilets? been there too. Still, some people manage to be such assholes that I'd much rather be cleaning their puke than standing any more minute of their bs.
