Hi guys, I'm kind of people who prefer WordPress, but for some reasons, I find that Blogger is good for people who don't have money for hosting their WordPress website !!

there are really good templates for blogger, I've just stated to use blogger for the moment, but I'm curious about 2 small questions !

- Do Google have the right to delete your blogger website (for some reasons or rules) ?
- Will Google decide to delete Blogger someday ?

-If you post unallowed things like movies (movie streaming) they will delete your blog. I believe you can find list of unallowed things in their TOS.
-No, why would they delete it when they earn money on it.

It depends what you want it for?

If you are making decent money with that site, it's best to host it and use a CMS like wordpress.

I personally use it for testing or side projects where I don't rely on SEO for traffic and when I am sure that I won't break their tos.
I have a bunch of blogspots (a couple with .com/net domains on them) and never got one banned.
Make sure you set a recovery email and/or phone for that account.

Google has full control over your Blogger content, and can, and will delete it your site.
They will likely give it an overhaul, it's extremely outdated.

Google reserves the right to delete your site and shutdown their Blogger service if they want to. Whether they will or not, I can't tell you.

If you are wanting to develop something that's yours, invest in a domain name.

Just don't take the piss and you'll be fine. If Google decide to delete Blogger, all you have to do is export all your content (via an .xml file) and upload it somewhere else (Wordpress.com / Wordpress.org). Be sure the content has been removed from the search engines before putting it on another platform. I always give it 90 days from the removal date. Once you have a decent amount of content on a Blogger blog (unless its spun crap) you should always take a copy, because you never know with Blogger. You might wake up one day and one, or all of your blogs are gone.

Another free platform to consider for blogging is Googe Sites. I've been messing around with it lately and it appears to rank well with good content that has almost no backlinks. Whether the ranking is temporary due to how backwards Google search is at the moment, I'm not sure. But it appears stable right now.

Good luck.

It is always better to do it yourself with WordPress than to use Blogger, Weebly etc.You have full control with your site.

If you starting the blog with a mind that it will grow bigger someday then it is best to get your domain and hosting, it is really cheap these days.

All web 2.0's, blogger included, are very hard to rank well in the SERP. Most of the time it's hard to just get Google to index the page even with good original content. Even when it does index some pages will fall back out of the SERP after a short time.

I would not suggest using blogger for making money where you are going to need to rank in search engines to obtain traffic, it's not gonna happen. Like @mindmaster said testing or side projects, it's fine. If you want a landing page to direct traffic to from social platforms a blogger page will work fine. But even then, once you have a few $ just get a domain and hosting. A non web 2.0 url will have a lot more trust to the traffic you drive from social.

yes they will ban and delete your site for sure, so dont do stupid things, blogger is a good platform to make money even with adsense

How come so many of you are so sure 'they will ban you'.

What the actual f^(^& are you doing with blogspots to get them banned?

I have blogposts that are 5 years old. Some inactive. And non banned or any issue.
Stop giving advice if you have no experience. Or at least state your experience, the situation that got you banned.

wow, very interesting sharing. i use wordpress today and doesn't interest to use Blogger since I want to have full control with my content.
If you happen to use one, make sure you back up every week. It's always best to prepare the umbrella before the rain right?

-No, why would they delete it when they earn money on it.

Even if you were a marketing beast scoring 10k a month using adsense with your blogger site, that would mean nothing to google in terms of gain. If they consider you are doing anything that could hurt their brand, they would remove your blog/account at once.
A blogger blog is never truly yours. So I wouldn't invest too much on that, neither time or money.
A hosting is not that expensive, especially if you get some kind of 1st-year promo. And that one year will be more or less enough to start seeing whether it is worth pursuing that project or not.

You can go with Wordpress; I hope it will gives you more better result.

If you do all things according to their rules then there don't have any reason to do it by google.

They have the right to delete our blog if we post content that violates the rules
