Xbox 360 vs. Playstation 3

Actually, graphics wise, the 360 and ps3 actually comes out pretty close. Shocking this might be but some games actually look better on the xbox than on the ps3. Don't believe me?...check out this site for direct comparisons for the latest craze, modern warfare 2 :-

Not to mention that the xbox has a wider range of games and online players. The only reason i can think of getting the ps3 now is metal gear solid. Final fantasy has made it's way over to the xbox as well so no exclusivity for ps3 there as well. Gran turismo is taking forever to come out while the xbox now has forza3 which is rockin.

Other than that, the bluray still is pretty minor compared to dvd. It might be a reason for me to get the ps3 (i already have the xbox), but still not good enough for me to get one.

I don't know were someone got the idea from that you cannot play gta on ps3 because you can as I have it, now if they were on about the gta lost and dmaned and ballad of gay tony add ons as of yet you cannot get these, but they are talking of bringing them to ps3, but personally if they don't I don't really care I have gta iv and I love it, I play online and have some good fun with it, better than I did on the xbox imo.

One thing I like xbox over the ps3 is the ability to be able to connect through wireless connection my 360 with windows media play on my comp. So I can watch recorded shows and movies through my 360 from my comp. Granted you have a tv receiver on your comp. Im not sure if ps3 does this though so it might.

Yeah you can do this with the ps3 as well, and you can do it through the psp share pics and videos and music.

I don't have fifa 10 for ps3 yet, but I have got fifa 09 and I have played it online and I find it excellent, the people are brilliant and you can have some good games.

Oh man, FIFA10 is just plain amazing compared to 09... EA Sports have REALLY picked it up since FIFA08 with each new release being extremely improved... the new 360 dribbling and no delays in passes/shots makes the game as real as it gets... online is just as good!

I can't believe how much better the game got compared to PES...

And to the whole PS3 community question... the online community for PS3 is large enough for you to NOT notice any difference between PS3 and XBOX... okay so XBOX has a couple million more players online... so? What difference does that make, it's not like you're playing with all of them at once anyways?

I'd definitely take FREE online experience, internet browser, blu-ray player over a "bigger and better online community"

The PS3's primary setting is WiFi so yeah, it's wireless, unless you want to make it wired. And it doesn't require any attachment (like the 360 required the antenna I believe) EDIT: after re-reading I notice I misread something, no, I do not believe the PS3 will connect directly to your computer the way the 360 does because of the HUGE difference in OS operations, where the 360 is made by microsoft, as is windows, the PS3 is made by sony. I'm not 100% sure about this answer so if anyone could verify.

The PS3 is without a doubt the better machine for function, I enjoy most games on the 360 VS the PS3 for some reason, I have both consoles, and games for both, but I have both systems for the exclusive titles such as LBP or the upcoming GOW3.

The biggest flaw of the PS3 is this, and I think anyone will agree with this one (even you huge PS3 fanbois) and that flaw is this;

When you play the PS3, is when you need to charge your controller, you cannot leave your controller plugged in with the system off to charge your controller, the system NEEDS to be on in order for your controller to charge... kinda takes the point away from having wireless controllers IMO, because I'm not one to leave my system on for XX amount of time simply because the controller needs to be charged.

Sony cut a few corners when developing the PS3, and chucked a few things in to continue to compete on a release date level (because of the price of the PS3 compared to it's competitors) they needed to do something last minute, which was motion sensor in the controller. Does this make the system horrible? No, not at all. But it is something to consider before taking a plunge.

I've heard many good things about fifa10 compared to pes and i too have been with pes since ps1. It's gonna be hard to leave that ship and move on but times change i guess...

Anyways i'm gonna get the cheap cracked version of fifa and pes tomorrow for the xbox for $3 each lol and kick my mates asses, like i usually do for pes

Nah my modded version is for offline play (1 players or footy games with my mates). I've got another unmodded version for online play which i use for good games like modern warfare etc as i'm a fps online gamer .

As I said earlier yes you can connect to your pc wirelessly with the ps3 just as easy as you can with the xbox.

Very nice, I was unaware of this, I know the 360 is essentially plug and play with the PC, but I didn't know the PS3 would act the same way.

Lol, console flamewars. The best way to decide what is the best console for you is to have a look at the exclusive games, then have a look at the console features. I prefer the ps3 because of exclusives such as killzone 2 and gt5. I hate halo single player, although i loved playing halo in a lan. I don't know why people dog ps3 online so much, the only downside with it is that you cannot readily change your username. PS3 Home is a step in the right direction, that's for sure.

Wow, that project natal looks amazing, definitely shows future elements of gaming, although that technology could be used on ps3 and pc as well. Oh yeah, and im sure looking forward to heavy rain and ffxiii(on 360 as well now i think).

I would buy only PS3 because of its unique exclusives (ex. Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavy Rain (still isn't released), Little big planet - there are no other games like them). Xbox360 exclusives are just usual shooters.

This is true, however, I can usually have my controller plugged in for 20-30 minutes and it lasts for almost a month. But is it a 'pitfall' of PS3? Or just a very minor inconvenience?

No, it's not a major pitfall, it is an inconvenience, and that's not including the fact that you cannot replace the battery pack in the PS3 controller, when the BP in the PS3 controller dies out, you need to get a new controller all together.

I'm going to get a 360 in the next few weeks because pretty much all my friends play MW2 on xbox live.

I only know one person who has a PS3, and he never plays it. Plus, the analog sticks on the playstation controllers are just way too sensitive.
