Facebook selfie upload

Hi has anyone had to do the facebook selfie upload to get back on to facebook? Just had it pop up for me about 2 hours ago and have submitted the picture but still waiting. its a real account about 12 years old and the profile has already been ID confirmed.
If this has happened to you how long did it take to review before you got back on to facebook ?

I think it shouldn't take more than 24 hours to get back on.

If it's your real profile then there is almost 100% you will get back your account. But if it's not your real profile, then it's highly likely you will lose that account.

Just to update i got the profile back 26 hours later after facebook 1st asked for the selfie. just to confirm it is a real profile that i have had since day 1 and it was ID confirmed not long ago due to the large pages i run. Think it was only 26 hours for me as i reached out to my account manager at fb who most of the time is useless but in this case she got the profile restored within an hour of speaking to her. she did tell me this selfie system is being replaced by a selfie video system so soon you will upload a 30 sec video clip of yourself so it looks like anyone using a fake profile your days are going to be over on facebook as there is zero way to beat a video selfie.

I did this for IG and it worked, they gave me my account back within 24 hours and I see you got your 26 hours.

I totally agree with you on this. Facebook is turning into the next Orkut. The users are preferring smartphone apps over websites. Facebook hasn't done anything innovative in last 4-5 years other purchasing whatsapp, IG etc and copying their features like story. Moreover, the users are becoming more cautious about fb stealing their personal data.

Well they are doing it to make Facebook community centered and keeping it real is the first thing they want to do, so that no one can manipulate people into anything.
