Minimalist Lifestyle

I try to think of viable ways. I try to be minimalist like I'll wear an extra jumper, use tea candle heaters to and walk or ride a bike to the store but other people are like NO! turn the heating on damn it and drive the store. Stop wasting time.

Candle heaters under a flower pot?

Meh. I mean common, people cannot live just a simple, normal live without going to the extreme in either direction?

"I have so much shit that I am going to rid of all of them and live with none!"

How about just buying stuff you really need (or really want), and not hoarding a bunch of useless things?

Minimal lifestyle is the best lifestyle simply because you are more happy, contented and have lesser shit to deal with

I've seen videos or read something about that process at one point in my life and didn't know if it was viable or just some guy playing around.
Oh they definitely work. And if you're a bit more of a risk taker (these thing can get seriously hot), it can double up as a stove.

Ok, I agree to live a minimalist lifestyle but to this level :

I have nothing but a backpack (and a dog) but no furniture, just 2 t shirts, 2 shorts, one pair of shoes, a laptop, phone and a cap, I have zero winter clothes. But have many digital assets instead of physical ones.

Hell no !!!

I'm minimalist since born.. until last year I realized that I am a minimalist.. then I learn more and more become minimalist.. begin more decluttering
I learn about minimalism from YouTuber Matt D'Avella.. a great guy and cool dude on internet.. follow his YT

Damn, Im not on that level, but I also live a minimalistic life. I dont buy anything that I don't need by simply waiting a while before buying anything. So only if I still need and want something a month or so later I will buy it.
Dude I know, right? I wanted to buy a house for 10 years but I am still waiting. Maybe one day I'll wait long enough to no longer want it?

You could call my life minimalistic, and broke. Definitely broke

I would say that for most "normal" people, you can be relatively minimalistic. Not getting caught up in the latest fashion trends, or buying ridicuously expensive cars that you struggle to afford. Cars, fashion, jewellery, these are all things that I pay no attention to in life. I have a car, but its a 15 year old run around that I got very cheap.

I think it really depends where you are coming from and the way you grew up.

For someone who grew up having nothing, materialistic stuff, real estate, cars etc. can be a huge motivation and a goal.
If you grew up in a rich family or in a decent area, where everyone is superficial, you are more likely to become minimalistic (if you wanna leave "your" society).

In the end everyone has to decide by themselves, what makes them happy, how to life their life etc. finding a balance is important. Of course you don't need a the most fancy car, even if you are millionaire. Maybe you don't need to fly first class or business class. What I find odd is when people are trying to "push" their opinions and lifestyle on someone else. For examples vegans.

Minimalism is a goal I have been moving towards for about 2 years now.

I travel the world to over 15 cities a year, all I bring is a laptop + backpack.

This is achievable when you're young, if you're either single or with someone who can do the same as you.

Outta interest what sort of age groups are you guys who live out of your bergans? 20s? 30s?

I see what you mean about age.

Personally I am 21, but I still pay bills. I pay the majority of the bills in my household. I have the ability to move out but at this age, I am doing everything for my parents.

I travel alone or with my business partner, but I enjoy the secluded thoughts and internal growth.

It's when you taste solitude for the first time. You feel internally euphoric. That first time, your pupils dilated out of fulfillment, this is the moment of no going back. This is when I truly realized my purpose isn't one for materialistic, because it was an empty void of a chase, a chase of nothingness

Which is why I have begun putting my money into
1. Financial assets
2. Parents wellbeing
3. Personal wellbeing
4. Travel

I applied minimalist on..

- Environment (home interior & exterior)
- Personal items / belongings
- Mind (meditation) / remove overthinking
- Body movement (the way i seat, stand, interact with items or machine) do not move too much, and seat properly.

Never, could never do it. I envy and at the same time pity the people who are doing it.

This is so true, I really like having this much physical stuff but some of that I use rarely. Just don't keep unnecessary things.

I've watched that documentary, and I loved it ...

it's a good lifestyle, especially if we see this lifestyle from the big picture which is anti-capitalism.

f**k big house, f**k buying a car, f**k having a lot of things, a lot of clothes, a lot of followers, a lot of any F**cking things ...

all this consuming style is just a big hoax created by government to drug us and letting us work work work to buy buy buy ...

I recommend that documentary to anyone, and I hope they will do another documentary for the Digital Minimalism.
