Difference between HR Views, Low quality Views, ad views and NRV

Hey Everybody, since nearly everyone does get this wrong and is talking about different things Im here to explain all the terms for you so that we are all on the same page. So lets call it a blackhat view guide

HR Views = High retention views (Retention is the percentage of minutes of the video watched, please note this. Long time ago there were views that gave a 70-90% retention. So whats so special about these views? If you uploaded a 2 minute video you got about 1:40 of views (70%), if you uploaded a 10 minute video you got 7 minutes (70%) and if you uploaded a 100 minute video you got 70 min. As you see these views were perfect for faming watch time.
These views dont exist anymore. Im 100% sure but you can proof me wrong and I will edit this.

Low quality views = The very cheap views that get deleted by youtube very quickly, also low retention and just overall bad

Ad views = A lot of people are selling adwords views, so they will do a campaign for you on google adwords and will send traffic to your video. Retention is most times bad, but whats even more important. THESE VIEWS DONT COUNT ANYMORE FOR 4K Watchtime. Im not sure why youtube changed it, but since mid january these views dont help you to get monetized.

Raw Views = Cyberars (the provider of the old NRV (more on that later) created these kind of views, that probably come from popup ads (no google ads). These views count for your watchtime. You cant call them HR views since you dont buy any save retention (is your video good, it gives you a good retention, if the video is short it also gets you better retention). Since you dont get a fixed percentage viewed the result differs. The best way to farm watchtime with them is to upload a very long video WITHOUT any sound. The logic behind that is easy, your video pops up in the background and a lot of user dont realize it and watch a movie while the youtube video is running in the background. With this methode you can get about 7-10 min views on avarage (which is bad retention but good for farming watchtime)

HQ no fixed retention views = these are views that stick and dont give a specific retention. Most timese these views are about 2-3 minutes retention. So when you have a short 3 min video these views are good since they provide nearly 80-100% retention which the algo likes. But if you use them for a longer video they give a bad retention since the views are fixed 2-3 min views.

NRV = Most people that talk about HR views are talking about these kind of views. They are from cyberars and sadly they dont exist anymore (for now). These views were the real deal and I will explain you why.
First of all they gave a fixed retention about 70% which is great for farming watchtime AND pleasing the algo, since the algo loves long retention. But now the reason why these were real deal. The traffic source for these videos were only search, suggested and browse, which is insane for getting into recommended. The most important things to get into the algo is CTR and Retention and these views had both, they gave you a crazy CTR and a good Retention. You could basically make every video viral or rank it. They are 100% not existing at the moment. Proof me wrong if you can.

So here a short FAQ:

Your uploaded video is to long or you are buying trash views. There is no fixed retention views anymore

When should I buy views and which?
- If you are trying to rank 2-3 min videos buy high quality views with 2-3 min retention
- if you want to farm watchtime buy RAW views and upload a long silent video

Why am I not ranking like before?
- because even with good retention these views are not NRV views, they dont come from suggested/browse/search, so you may rank for some keywords or get some collateral views but you wont get into the algo anymore

When do NRV come back?
-probably never but only Cyberars can tell that

It boosts your video a bit, you will probably get some long tail keywords ranked and maybe even a little bit suggested and browse featured views, but dont expect to much, it doesnt do wonders, also look that you get some likes and comments to make it look natural

depends on your needs. Youtube adwords views are expensive but the most safe way to grow your channel. But I would probably just focus on good videos and good keywords and the most important thing a good thumbnail and title.

I wish there were a service on here that offered "Featured Channel" spots on popular channels. Or even links in video descriptions of viral videos. It seems most services are geared towards views, which yeah is important, but it seems like links from big channels is the way to go.

so basically your saying nrv and hr views both dont exist anymore and you can only buy low retention views which suck and does no good to the algo, then how do you go about marketing your videos on YT?

I think you should read the FAQ again, if your video is short enough, you can still buy HQ Views.
Regarding marketing your video, I know that sounds crazy but you need to have exceptional good content. Crazy right? Also reddit marketing can help IF you have great content. But even the greatest content doesnt help if your CTR sucks, so try to improve the CTR with a good title and awesome thumbnails.

I'm not mad at you, I just explained why you are wrong two times. If you read the FAQ you can apply the knowledge to grow yt blackhat. If you have a short video buy HQ views. If you need watchtime buy raw views. If you want to go viral with a long video you are fucked. I hope this was easy enough for you to understand.

It helps in terms of subscriber and maybe even some collateral views. It also helps for YouTube to identify what your videos are about, since you are giving them a bigger sample size to understand your content. It most likely will not get you into the algo, but it doesn't hurt your channel either.

So for minecraft meme videos, I should just make them 2 to 4 minutes long and buy alot of hq 2-5m retention views to help rank it?
