I'm creating digital artwork,

Am I able to upload images, no videos, to TikTok?
If so, would this still benefit me or are people just there because of the short videos.

What you can do is do those speed-run of the process of creating your artwork.

I agree with what @DamonSalvatore said above. Art videos are very popular on TikTok and I think the best option would be to show the process of creating the artwork before showing the final version. I would also recommend using in-app audio/songs to help boost organic reach.

I need to target the attention with the thumbnail, so combining this with giveaways should give some pretty good results.

Switch to tik tok pro version. Then go to analytics section, it'll give all the stats like age, demographics,followers progress, post views , profile views etc etc
