Hi, a web developer here (with Upwork experience).

Putting 'web design' and 'web development' roles in the same basket and saying they are TOO saturated jobs on Upwork is soo misleading.

First, a 'web developer' role is much more lucrative job to do because it's more complex than 'web design' role, etc. It always was.

Second, everything depends on your skills and experience level. The more you learn, more you earn. Simple as that.

There are web application/site projects worth a couple of tens of thousands of $ or even six figures.

Now, when we have that out of the way (I'm not hating or trolling your thread, just trying to help inexperienced people here) let's talk business.

If you are able to find/provide some high paying web development gigs we are millionaires. I'll attach the screenshots (my part) for the crowd here, no problem.

I can provide full stack development, including designing which means from a PSD to fully rendered SEO friendly HTML pages built on top of the Laravel backed by CMS for easier data management. Of course I'm not going to do everything by myself (I got people), people claiming they are able to do all this by themselves are scammers or maybe they have the whole IT industry in their head, who knows. ***TIP ALERT

If you are interested let me know.

I know web design and web development are two different things. But both are saturated on Upwork, I can say this based on two things I noticed in the last 2 months of this journey:

1) Minimum 10 to 15 freelancers apply to a new web development job posted on Upwork within the first hour, and the number of applications go up from there.
2) I've tried to create a new Upwork profile for web development gigs, it wasn't approved and the reason given was that there are too many people with the same skills already.

As long as you're offering an opportunity to make millions together, even trolling and hating is welcome :) No need to attach screenshots, as we aren't trying to prove anything to anyone. As I've mentioned in the earlier posts, this journey thread is for my personal record, not a how to guide. Sending you a PM shortly to see if we can work together. Thanks for the offer.

OMG you are project machine man. I still don't understand how do you lock all of those contracts. How do you find them.

How about the software engineering niche in Upwork ? Is it saturated ?

Interested in partnering up, help you scale some more.

Let me know if you're interested

How do I find them? Using the search tab on Upwork.

I haven't explored that one, as I'm not into softwares (yet).

Good luck!
Thanks Bruv.

OP i've tried to see where you show daily earning average - do you have this info handy?

Pmd as I see you mention lead generation, something I’m interested in purchasing from you

Nice thread. Definitely motivates.

I have 20+ years industry experience and 10+ years of Business Intelligence experience in US. If somebody like to team up, feel free to PM me.

Currently I have odesk days - client (reasonable spend) and freelancer id (no work history)

"I've figured out a way to get noticed by clients on Upwork, get replies to my pitches etc."

Can you teach me this?
