Xbox 360 vs. Playstation 3

Anyone who has an Xbox 360 that says it is a piece of shit and doesn't like it; I'll give you my address...my husband has been dying to get one...so why should it collect dust?

There is similar stuff that is the same with slight differences, trust me. The technology that Microsoft calls it might be theirs, but the basic idea is not.

And I have an idea for floating dog beds but that doesn't mean that when it is created by someone that the credit should go to me.

they made it. it's xbox's technology and they are leagues ahead of the "similar stuff" that we are to trust you know about. trust me.

I like both systems as well. Being mostly into racing games and taking that well beyond buying plastic wheels/pedals, I favor the PS3, as their games support the Logitech G25 and/or G27 and the pedals I use, which cost more then an Xbox/PS3..

However, I would like to race online w/Forza 3 on the Xbox Live system one day...but I hate the MS wheel and the only wheel that is otherwise supported currently is not getting enough good 'press' for me to consider purchasing it.

On the otherhand, I don't mind playing FPS, but NOT on a console...simply because I'm used to playing similar games on the pc w/a full keyboard and mouse.

Guess it comes down to what type of games you like to play and how well you like the platform it is played on..if it's an exclusive game/title.

i was thinking of going ps3, since the xbox breaks down too easily (google "towel method").
check out 'batman: arkham asylum' and 'infamous' on the ps3.

you have to mod your xbox to play torrented games but apparently it isn't that hard. only problem with that is you'll get banned from xbox live because they can tell.

me and my brother have this argument all the time and the biggest thing he can rave about it xbox live...i tell him...if ur paying for it...it better be good...but then i go to a few porn sites on my ps3 and show them that pussy out ranks games any day...moral of the story...get the ps3 and get games and girls...oh plus theres that virtual world thing where u can really meet people and kick it with them...i took a chick out on a virtual date to the bowling alley then to the mall and had her dance while i kicked some dudes ass in chess...xbox has nothing like this at all

Few months ago, I was in the same position, deciding between Xbox or PS3. All my friends have an Xbox and have played it at their houses. But I really wanted a blu-ray player also. Eventually decided to go with the PS3 and I absolutely love my decision. This thing is a beast. It is like a mini computer... does everything. Internet, stream movies, blu-ray, some kick ass games.. just to name a few.

Go with the PS3.

Well I got the PS3 (refurbished, but with warranty)

But I can't get past the BLACK SCREEN. I am connecting via Red, Yellow, White wires.

I tried the RESET TRICK 12 TIMES and it would not give me a menu.
How difficult could it be.

Hold power button until it goes off.

Hold power button again until it beeps, and beeps twice quickly. Still black screen.

Looks like I have to bring it back to the store tomorrow.

PS3 > Xbox anyday. Cant believe people fall for the trap of paying to play online. I got mad addicted to playing little big planet online, heaps of cool people to play with plus create your own maps etc.

Dont forget PS3 turns into your own home computer, you can install linux on it aswell.

360, here's why:

More online players than PS3, wider selection of games exclusive to the 360, besides Halo there's GTA exclusives, Netflix integration, Last.fm, Facebook, downloadable games. Plus the 360 is an upconvert DVD player.

Go with Sony if you don't have a Blu-Ray player. You can't even play old PS2 games on it anymore.

the xbox 360 do break down after a while (not hard to fix) both system have similiar games but 360 have more games and pretty good fighting games aswell..ps3 have better strategy games and rpg

It's clear that PS3 is the better machine.

If you want to pay for online and you like shooters than xbox is your system.

If you're not obssessed with Halo, Call Of Duty and ever other carbon copy 1P game of each other then PS3 with it's other capabilities is the better option.

Oh, so you mean I can only play online with 1,000 people and not 1,000,000. Awe shucks.

Anway, yes the black screen is just sitting there. Did some searching around and it's a common problem. I have the model that can play ps2 games, too.

Some can reset it, others cant. I'm downloading firmwire update now..maybe that could help....

Favouring the PS3 for "most" aspects is kind of the way I feel. Xbox has the big hand of online play...

Correct.. on my first xbox 360 I was having hitachi drive which was easy to mod.. But now on the new one I have Liteon, which is little difficult, it requires xecuter kit to mod it..

Unfortunately, PS3 cant be moded...

I've replaced mine twice since about the same time. But its all fine and dandy cause I love my 360

uhhh.. PS3 has all that too plus much more. It has a freaking internet browser built-in. I can watch pr0n on my 42" HDTV.
