What people mean when they talk about "Custom Script"

i mean i'm the road to use wordpress or datalife engine.
and some doods told me its better to use a custom script.

what does it even mean ? is that mean your own CMS.
or a special theme ? what the generical meaning of this.

CMS is custom made script basically something unique. design for you specifically they are typically more expensive than a traditional theme and templates.

WordPress is completely fine. For 90% of website idea's you probably won't need something custom as most is available/programmable into WordPress.

why dont you simply ask those "doods" ? Maybe they are referring to a "normal" html site without any CMS

When they said custom script, they GENERALLY don't refer to any CMS like wordpress.

You build backend architecture exactly what you need for

I wouldn't even call them scripts anymore. Wordpress is a complex system, not just a simple script.

yeah man, that's confusing. when i heard custom script, i see some random JS file or a scripting shell file, i cant imagine a whole backend/frontend architecture.

but thanks my mind is clear now
