Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

The idea is that everything is in the HTML - as few files are loaded upon page load.
If Googlebot is having trouble loading say, 80 files upon page load (CSS, JS, JPG, etc files), then by adding the contents of those 10 CSS files directly into your HTML, now it only has to load 70 files. It might not be optimal but it may reduce errors and incorrect rendering.
yeah agreed. well, I disavow links regulary every 3-4 weeks, so its not after the updates only tho..

Have you take a look at google NLP? if you take a look at page performance in webmaster tools not every page is drop in serp i mean its not like we got hit by manual penalty some of the pages are still ranking (at least from my dashboard)..and if you use google NLP demo tools the page (our pages) which im confident and previously ranking for specific keyword according to google NLP aren't talking about that topic (keyword) at all and receive very low score
or try this tool https://wordgraph.io/ top 10 result and reanalyze their content against yours and if you looks their links even if its weak (low PA or DA) ,most of them are also having good score
and in my cases my backlinks metric is good (high PA and DA) but the content aren't that good ( if it in contextual links)

Thanks a lot! I'm digging through webmaster tools now, pulling the pages that were 'hit' and all keywords related to those pages one by one. The great thing about webmaster tools is that it allows comparing keyword ranking/clicks/impressions date vs. date. When I took a look at a page and compared keywords ranking/clicks/impressions related to it let's say Jan 6th vs. Jan 8th or 9th (that's when I lost traffic) I can clearly see which keywords lost ranking/clicks/impressions, which remain stable and which have improved. Now I need to analyze the post(s) and figure out why some keywords have improved and why some lost ranking/clicks/impressions. I was surprised to see that some keywords that I never rank for poped up of the blue from 0 to top 10. The search volume is too low to have a significant impact on traffic but that will give me some clue to how google operates now. I'm pretty sure that the NLP demo tools and the link will come handy. Thanks for the suggestion and link!. The more I dig into it the more convinced I am that a big part of the update has to do with on-page SEO. BTY, I was probably wrong when I said that they 'target review sites'.

Seems like these google algo updates are happening every now and then. Truly confusing for the webmasters.

No news from Google, no news in websites that talk about Google, are we really sure it's a bug instead of a penalty? Why nobody talk about this? No posts, no release in websites specialized, nothing, only a few members in this forum that talk about this. I hope i'm wrong, but I think this is a penalty, and not a bug :/
I'm sure that it's a bug, many people on reddit, google search console help and twitter write complaints, not only webmasters but regular users complain that search results has been f#$%ed up.
