My first dropshipping store - failed

Hi there, I have recently started my first shopify dropshipping store. Its in the pet niche, I'm selling just a single product. I have followed Franklins Hatchett course. I have seen similar shops selling the same product and they seemed fairly successful. I have started the FB promotion last week (6 days ago) and didn't have any conversions. The course I'm following recommends to ditch the product if I didnt have any conversion within a week. What do you think? I have spend a lot of time working on my shop and making it looks nice so I feel a bit bad about wasting so much time on it. I'm not sure why is my product not converting when it seems other shops are selling..
Apart from what has been already said, check the desktop/mobile visitor ratio and optimize your site for mobile users. Right now it does not look very easy to use. Also, ask yourself this question: why would anyone in the US buy from you instead of Amazon? (which would almost certainly be cheaper + faster shipping) Selling products like yours in the US market is very tough as Amazon has almost destroyed the retail sector in that country (I know people are going to prove me wrong, but that's just a fact of life). Also, try to get more followers for your social media accounts by posting something dog- and cat-related to attract more audience, not just the pics of your product (otherwise it looks like very straightforward and dull way to showcase your product).

I don't mind sharing, it's: snug-dog dot com
Never, ever share your link in public here. There are a lot of good people but also some bad that just get kicks destroying your shit.

Now I've critiqued (mostly on request) a lot of dropshipping sites and even wrote a https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/dropshipping-advice-tips-and-tricks-for-people-that-are-new-or-have-failed-probably-long-ass-read.939866/ about it which also covers a lot what I instantly see what is wrong with that site.

First off, the site isn't engaging or original at all. As soon as I arrived it's instantly, ah, one of those.

You waste an incredible amount of above the fold space. That is the exact space where you need to attract attention, there is nothing that attracts attention, no interaction, no incentives basically nothing that triggers emotions.

That exit popup, 5% discount.... wauw so I get a smashing $0,12 discount if I leave my email, take my money!!! ;)

Already mentioned, on mobile the view is terrible with all the buttons and chat.

Ads not engaging at all.

IG and FB, boring! Your profile on IG "We sell the original calming beds for pets suffering with stress and anxiety." How is that triggering an emotion?? You need to ask a question they can relate to and then provide a solution. Something directly sucked out of my thumb. " Is your pet suffering from stress and anxiety?" Triggers a yes if so and then sell them a solution and focus on emotions.

I like the photos and videos but you need to learn a LOT about marketing and digital psychology. Selling things is all about emotions. Take Frank as an example, he ain't making money with dropshipping, he is making money making people believe it's easy to make money with dropshipping ;)

Unless you got an incredible products and be one of the first to sell it you can get away with a cheap looking site like that otherwise, not working, it doesn't show passion and there are literally thousands of these basic, all look alike, sites online.

If you 're serious you need to focus on building a brand and identity.

Anyway, don't feel too bad. Failure in IM is only failure if you didn't learn from your mistakes otherwise they are all lessons ;)

You have not failed that pure bullshit, what you have done is gained a lot of experience in designing a shop and putting it all together.

Forget the word failure, keep at it and start to promote hard on FB, the pet niche is huge and I am sure you can sell anything.

you just need to convince the traffic the product solves an issue.

start writing what your product can do to solve an issue.

then go deep into an illness that could happen but could not happen if you use your product.

you got to make the traffic think your product will solve an issue.

you can do this with just a dog bone

trust me what I say .....

please use the plugins as suggested above will help a lot ( if money an issue just use
free accounts with proxies . or an alternative.))

gd luck.

Thanks for your advice, how can i use free accounts with proxies? is there any guide you could direct me to? Appreciate this tip!

are you sure that your "FB Promotion" is good enough?

One thing that could help is look at your competitors drop shipping sites and Facebook ads and then mirror (don’t copy) their creatives. Usually the ads people are using where they have multiple versions of that have been active for 6 months+ typically mean they are converting well.

try its free only pay for shipping method seems it works well.

I would have easily make this gif a background gif in the header, it looks great to pull people in... example

I also had a dropshipping store but temporarily put it to a hold. I was making small ROI or break even. I was in the women sport niche (leggings etc).

Your site seems too 'bald' on the top. At first, I thought this was just a white page with a centered image. Fix this!

Secondly... I don't know how much your profit is on this product but try Adwords, it worked much better for me. More conversions, higher price = that is true.. but you will have to give up a chunk of your income for advertising, this is the truth.

goodluck

Create stories Natalianie about how this really did help with a dog anxiety, and as others say.,.present an issue, solve a problem.

Solving is the why drop shipping works. Also i would recommend looking in the download section, there are many free courses in there to give a different perspective from Franklins.

Franklin learnt all he knows from here, btw.

I get 3 videos done on fiverr from 3 different people.

If it's a broad product I target top 4 countries or if it's a niche product let's say the pet bed I was selling I would target cats/dogs interest stacked into a adset. I would make 3 adsets and select 1 video for each. ( testing which video for the best for the audience I'm targeting ). Testing campaign would be. Target Us, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia -> Campaign objective Conventions -> View Content -> automic placement.

Let the campaign run till each adset with different video reaches 1000 impressions ( usually around $10 each) than I check the data see which one has the best CTR, CPC, View content, Add to Cart, Innociate Checkout and so on usually there's a definite winner if not use top 2 videos.

Once I find the winning video I make 10 adsets with single interest with the winning video and run a $100 CBO Campaign. I let the adset run until it reaches its Break even point. If it has sales great if no sales by break even point stop adset and replace with a new interest. Keep doing that till u have around 4 5 profitable adsets and once they reach 10 or more sales profitably move it to it's on CBO campaign.

After a while Look alikes come in and its smooth sailing from there. Watch my YouTube I recorded me taking this store 0 to 20k my YouTube is " Bartu Yontem ".
