What does it takes for a logo to be innovative

I am new to this graphic design stuff and I have gotten a couple of clients this month
My current client who is a Stylist asked me to design a logo and I did (logo attached below)
I sent it to her and she rejected it by telling me that she want her logo to be innovative.
I'm really confused what she meant by that

For me personally it should look more simple & flat.

The word innovative is hard to explain. Your logo is good in terms of design but for a brand, it's a disaster. There's nothing good about it as it doesn't look simplistic or modern. Look at Apple for example, a simple bitten apple would seem innovative in the eyes of consumers due to the simplicity.

For a hairdresser, keep it simple. Less words, and more about images.

I think that logo needs more space. Just my 2 cents.

That to dots on the end of tagline don`t give trust, it`s like you are unsure about your services.

I wouldn't call your work a logo. Rather an illustration with text.
Nothing eye catching and nothing that would make people remember it.
When I was looking for an inspiration on 99designs.com, there was a bunch of repeated designs, which seemed innovative, but people were mistaken.
