Don't search domain on namecheap

Yesterday,I find one domain on ahref which is pretty good for me,
I search it not register on namecheap
Then I want to check again today, but I find it already registered on Namecheap,
Can't believe it ,!

Yes, they are doing this stuff. Thats not a coincidence. I had the same problem here with a few of my domains. They were about to expire, then I paid for the renewal. Later on got a refund for the domain and they said something in their system failed. They are really sneaky. I think Godaddy does the same.

I would recommend you to register domains with Cloudflare.

My domain was registered yesterday after I search on namecheap,it was for my niche

Probably not what you want to hear, but Namecheap is quite solid as a registrar. Yes, we've seen other companies do this over the years, but you have to understand that even Namecheap is a very LARGE registrar. Issues with [INSERT REGISTRAR HERE] may (and most likely) are due to certain issues on their end or even your end (billing account) if a domain didn't renew properly in the past--for those commenting on renewals.

Namecheap and other large(r) registrars are not going to risk losing their accreditation by snagging a few domains someone searched on their platform. Note, this is simply in comment to searching for available domains. A lot of these companies, not Namecheap in particular, have other questionable practices that go on through their ancillary services and products they sell.

Same... didn't expect it from namecheap.
But godaddy for sure... about 5 years ago my friend found a domain and decided to register it a bit later... guess what, the very next day his domain was on sale for $3,000 on godaddy and it was a brand new domain.

suggest to use purewhoise.com to search for domain names.... you dont have to worry about registrar stealing your domains

Hey. Don't blame godaddy or namecheap.
It is quite obvious domain has been registered by any other guy.
If you tried searching for 6467gdghg5577.com
And next day your domain has been registered then you can blame it full

This has nothing to do with Namecheap.
Domain was registered through 1API GmbH, a German domain registrar.

I never had any problems with namecheap. But I heard of other small registrars that take valuable domains for themselves although a client has already submitted a request. This seems to happen a lot when new domain endings are made available.

Never happen to me on Namecheap, searched for plenty of domains and managed to get them all some time later.

It's happened a lot to me in the past on GoDaddy and Heart Internet. Seems not so common now though.

mate its very high chance someone else who search for exp domains bought it before you it happens you must be fast. i never had problem like this with namecheap and i bought many domains for pbn there, but you can use namesilo its best registrar in my opinion, i had 200+ pbn domains with them never any problem

Namecheap is better than this. What if it was just a coincidence? Remember, as you're scouring for domains, millions of people are also doing the same.

The domain is owned by 1API GmbH, a company which is ICANN verified and to this date has registered a little over 1.000.000 Domains...

Even if you grab it there are 2 outcomes.

Right after the payment you will be rejected.
Once you register it you won't be able to use it for the long run, a takedown notice will be sent for sure.


Also, 1API is a dougher company of HEXONET first registered in 1999 as a business...

I wouldn't say that this is Namecheap fault.
