Don't search domain on namecheap

What if Ahrefs spies you? What if is bigger then namecheap? What if aliens are on the middle of all this propaganda.

I bet on aliens.

Ohhh... I thought it's coincidence... I too searched and filtered some domains for to register later..and I did 3-4 times I think so doing the same for a week to check all list of my filtered domains... ..but when I Atlast ready to buy after a week... Those become premium domains... To be honest those are just .Pro domains.... .Pro domains which I filtered are became premium and asking for $$$ for each... OMG.. So it's no coincidence then.

it happened to me with Godaddy. They snatched my domain and next thing I knew it was onsale for 1200£

Bollocks.

I like @fb3003's suggestion for all you tinfoil hat people.... me included...

Namesilo is the best :)

mate its very high chance someone else who search for exp domains bought it before you it happens you must be fast. i never had problem like this with namecheap and i bought many domains for pbn there, but you can use namesilo its best registrar in my opinion, i had 200+ pbn domains with them never any problem

So they steal the domain and deter you, maybe for good, from using their servers and encourage you to buy tonnes of their marketplace crap where they'll make the most money.

Does this really make sense?

There was a registrar, now dont remember which one, that was doing that - got slapped by ICAAN - they said that they did not charge more for the domains just "reserved" them for their clients. Anyway ICAAN was not happy, at all.

What most people did not realize is that there are MANY premium domains, however often the registrar doesn't show it as such until you try to add it in a cart or their system "refresh" it. So for example you search for besthackerforum.com -> this is premium domain but you see it as $6.99 deal until you add it in your cart and then is suddenly $1299. This happens everywhere, and yeah even in namesilo. Here the proof:

betting.site for $1.99? Damn I just hit the gold mine.. until you add it in the cart:

First person here with a brain and uses it as well. +1 mate ;)

happened to me too often on Namecheap, now I know Im not the only one. I even had a domain which I let expire. It was available again at $8.99 for months. And now they slapped premium on it, $2400 boom.

Damn I thought it was only Godaddy that did this. Go with Namesilo or Porkbun.

Why does namecheap charge a lower price of $1,625.00 for that domain?
namesilo price is $3,450.00

If there are different selling prices for the same domain, who really owns that domain name?

The domain is marked as premium by ICAAN most likely with minimum price say $1000. Then every registrar put whatever markup they want. For example for this very same domain dynadot ask for $1500

However the renewal is $3000.
