Thanks to @Goddissee and this thread, Snapchat has begun actively starting spam protection. In the latest version, if the both of you aren't friends.. your link will no longer show up in the story. Only older version will it show.

Well lets do the math. Snapchat has been around 8 years. The whole time, its been pretty easy on any limits. No limits on DMs, no limits on amount of accounts per devices, the list goes on. Jaunaray 1st comes along, this thread comes out and everyone and their mother runs to go promote snapchat. The thread has gone up and down numerous times. From what I've heard, has been asked to be deleted... but for whatever reason they refuse to, and chose to pin it instead. Snap has been alot peoples first choice platform for marketing prior to this thread, so this thread brought alot of saturation to the platform... but things happens, whatever. The problem with this method is, its a scam method. Nobody is sending anybody $100. This thread pissed off enough people that there are/were people reporting this thread to abuse@snapchat to try and get it taken down. Do I think that was smart? No.. but whatever, I understand their frustration when some kid pops up out of nowhere and ruins a platform for a bunch of people just because he was looking for cool points.

I was planning on going a slightly different route with this method that doesn't include scamming. Is adding hundreds of people a day going to get me banned as well.

Idk, I don't use the method myself.. but from what I've heard, they've been banning accounts and locking the devices(preventing future sign ups) of people adding too many friends too quickly. I do use snapchat for some of my monetization, but I don't add friends back who add me, so I can't confirm whether its valid or not.

You'll get banned. And device locked(prevented from opening future accounts from that device) is what I've been told. As I mentioned I dont do this method, the method I do doesn't require me to add friends. But now that the platform is implementing all this new spam protection(once again, thanks @Goddissee ..) looks like I'll have to accept friends in order to have my swipe up link work. So it's a double fuck.. cause if I add too many too quickly...
