From here on out, we're not going to allow anymore threads pertaining to 2012, conspiracy theories, or anything similar. Why? Because we're a part of the huge conspiracy that wants to hide the truth. Either that or because these threads inevitably devolve into crapfests of cyclical arguments that teeter on the edge of both politics and religion.

If you think the world is going to end in 2012, what the hell are you doing reading an internet marketing forum? Get laid. Do drugs. Have fun. Spend time with your friends and family. Whatever it is that raises your sail, go and do that thing, but for the sake of everyone who doesn't care/believe, please don't post about it here on BHW.

finally, you'd think this was a forum about health and lifestyle

Yay! We all have enough problems without all the 'clutter'. :) Thanks for squelching this!

oldenstylehats, Thanks for posting this!

Everything is going to be fine! I got in my time machine and checked the year 2013.
In 2013 BHW owns Google and Craigslist. I become a blackhat billionaire and Harro is the leader of the UN.

All will be fine! Better than fine! :drinking2

Does this mean the Lounge can now be overrun with Pollyanna threads? It can downpour, but we'll all say that it's sunny? If you are optimistic and don't want to hear about it, why not just skip the thread and just read the on topic ones for this forum? What's the point of a lounge if you can't go off-topic?

Listen, man. I'm all for divergent world views and discourse, but we moderate these forums for free and every time one of these threads is posted, we spend more time removing ridiculous, confrontational crap than it takes for that crap to get posted to begin with. There are better venues for having those sorts of discussions than an international IM forum.

Let's say I'm in line at a grocery store and the people in front of me begin having a conversation about how stupid and lazy all homeless people are. Now, I personally disagree with this statement and could make a very educated argument as to the causes of homelessness that transcend intelligence and motivation, but do I?

No, because I know that the checkout line at a grocery store isn't the venue to make an educated argument about anything that doesn't involve the price of Frosted Flakes or how delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are. I also know that I'd never be able to convey anything meaningful enough to these people that might cause them to adjust their perspectives in the 45 seconds that it takes for Wendy to drag their 20 boxes of Hot Pockets across the scanner. So, why waste the energy?

I hope just hope someone will stop same type of hundreds threads about xrumer and other hundreds of similar thread .... actually it's amnazing how much threads have virtually same questions / answers ,....

The best way to help us curb the repetitive threads is to use the report button. We can't read every thread, but if something gets reported, I can guarantee one of us will check it out.

Different people have different perceptions with different scenario :D

But its true..I have seen many a times....2 different threads..talking about the same thing..with nearly same title..one after the other...and people are posting different things!!

Well said. Hats off, mate!

You must be the part of the conspiracy and well said. No need to waste time in any forum convincing people the world is going to end.

This should clear things up:

Why are folks so selectively thin-skinned when it comes to end-time concepts? My point is most people don't bother reading 95% percent of the posts in a forum lounge, or the entire lounge itself, precisely because the threads here are not essential, serious, or on topic. Why is it so important to not 'waste time' on this particular topic, as opposed to wasting time on epic fails, sex tapes, wrestlers, or my girlfriend dumped me posts? I don't need to waste time being convinced by the arguments in those posts, or think they serve much purpose on a IM board (other than clutter) either.

Why not bar "how do I make $300 in 3 days, please hold my hand" posts, which are a lot more wasteful where it really matters, as those threads keep showing up in the on topic sections? What's so special about 2012 lounge talk that threads have to be barred rather than skipped over?
