Google update again?

Most definitely.

Few clients and one of my test sites got hit. All blackhat niches.

Guys, those of you who lost/gained up to 30%, remember it is one week to Christmas.
Almost all niches experience some seasonal spikes in this time of the year....

Of course those who lost/gained 90%... well, that's probably really an update :)
 
It's a bug - I can literally see the numbers of users in real-time on my website and it's at the peak but the graphs are showing 40% drop - can't be possible.

Do you realise that we are talking about google update? Not about Google analytics bug??

Most of us don't even use Google analytics. And most of us do track our keywords ranking.
And in my case they dropped from first page to nowhere..
Semrush sensor was also high ..


Just common sense....

Scams, questionable legality, unapproved products, high risk etc

Example:
  • hacks / cheats CPA niches
  • buy likes, followers, view + social network
  • gambling
  • SARS
  • adult

That's GA bug.

We are talking about actual rank drops in the SERPs. Nothing to do with GA traffic drops.

No, many hacks sites got a higher ranking. So not an issue with hack sites. Even entertainment sites got hit.
 
Got hit very badly. All of my English sites affected. Multiple hosting providers, multiple niches, all legit, no black hat stuff etc.

Has nothing to do with analytics, I have my own server-side tracking to rule this theory out.

one of my moneysites got fucked. Went from $200 - $500 per day to $90 if I'm lucky. If there's one thing I learnt about this PMSing bitch known as Google - ever since 2017 they been rolling out update after update trying to tame the AI beast they created called Rankbrain. I hope they will roll this shit back once the next update drops.

Well, good luck dealing with that...

I think most of google products are getting worse and the increasing number of bugs is getting really obvious.

When it comes to search ranking, I keep seeing auto-generated spam outranking legit content. This is one of the reasons I recently started using other search engines and I was really surprised with better search results.
 
Today our rankings fluctuating a lot hope it will settle down soon.
