Well, I tend to crack open some beers, throw on a movie, and type without looking at the screen. I crank out a few articles like this. Once the movie is over, I edit, proofread, etc and post it. Usually works out for the best.
Other than that, I buy content because fuck writing.
I'm not a horrible writer, and sometimes I even enjoy it, but it's just so hard to get started sometimes.
I want to start an amazon affiliate site, and I even have a pretty good niche.
Its just so hard to figure out what exactly to write about, and then to get
motivated to write 500-2000 words for just one article.
My question is do y'all have any tips or tricks on how to stay motivated to write?
Also any tips on how to figure out what to write about or how to structure my writing is much appreciated.![]()
Motivation is overrated. Motivation just makes it easy to start.
I am currently on a quest to build a career as a freelance writer. How I do it is by forcing myself to write an article every day. Once you get into the habit, it is easy to sustain. So far I haven't looked for paid work yet, but I can already see an improvement in both my writing ability & my self-discipline.
P.S. I realise admitting that I have trouble being motivated to write is not the best advertising, but at least you know you are not alone![]()
Jessica Ennis, the Heptathlete, had a horrible shot put.
"I hate it!" she said in 2004. Her PB at the time was less than 11metres in that event.
Her coach told her to change her mindset. Instead of "I hate it", she started chanting "I love it! I have so many improvements to make and if I do, there's hundreds of extra points I can get just in that event!"
Within 8 years, she had improved her shot put by over 3.5 metres, adding an extra 250 points in one event.
She also won the World Championships (twice if an appeal is granted on a Russian doper), broke the National and Commonwealth records, and ultimately won Olympic Gold at London 2012, her home olympics. She then had a baby, and still returned to win another championships and a silver medal in Rio 2016.
Her advice to a younger teammate who flopped in Rio, Katarina Johnson Thompson, who is brilliant at everything apart from the shot putt and Javelin?
"Don't worry Kat, my shot was terrible at your age too. You just have to find a reason to love it"
Thought you might find that useful.
EDIT: Sorry mate, for some reason got you and the OP mixed up, thought you were asking the original Q. Oh well, hope it helps somebody nonetheless.
Hey Albiyon,
YOu can get yourself a simple headset for about 10 bucks. Get on google docs which has a fantastic dictation feature, and just talk about what's on your mind when it comes to reviews. YOu can even go over to amazon and look at some of the reviews left by others, go over to youtube and check out a few videos, maybe take a few notes, and then just talk about whats on your mind when it comes to the product man.
Super easy. Just write down some bullet points and let google docs dictate the thing for you. BOOM oyu could be doing a review or 2 a day like this bro.
Good luck man!

How do you stay motivated to write?
Do you know Ross Enamait?Personally, i believe the word "motivation" is the cancer for success.
I mean, don´t get me wrong.
It´s great to do something you feel motivated but this CAN´T BE THE CASE WHENEVER YOU NEED/MUST GET SOMETHING DONE!
Instead, focus on developing discipline and consistency in order to achieve both your personal and professional goals.
Building habits that will lead you into put in the work/action needed regardless how you feel it´s the single most important aspect to succeed on pretty much anything you set as goal.
My 2cc on the topic.
