There is no right or wrong answer as it depends on your goal. If you want people to click around your website then you should care about bounce rate. And set up your posts in a way that will entice them to read other pages as well. If your goal is to give your visitors the info they're looking for and have them click on an affiliate link, bounce rate doesn't matter, time on a page does. One of my websites has a high bounce rate, but time on page is about 5 min. Meaning they read and find the info useful. After they've read the info they can move along or click on an affiliate link. If I drive visitors to my page with 'red shoes' keyword, I don't want them clicking around, I want them to learn about 'red shoes' and if they're ready to buy, click that affiliate link. And don't listen to anyone saying that bounce rate affects ranking. It does not.
