It could also be from some shitty js someone wrote for the frontend (scroll to top?), but it got attached to the backend as well (i.e. is_admin() not called properly).. Believe me, I have seen shittier things than that in my life.

Have you tried saving as a draft, signing out (running a cleaner), signing back in and then re-opening the post..

Got a sticky key on the laptop...
