From what I’ve seen both “shave” to an extent. I used both for adult, haven’t tried dating yet from either.
But Uber does similar, they give new drivers higher than standard payouts and bonuses to get them hooked and then over time drop it to a standard rate.

I wouldn't necessarily blame the network. My conversation rate for german traffic has been shite for one month. I tried three different CPA networks, no where the traffic converted. Here is what I found is the problem: One huge advertiser got all the offers, they are probably shaving the shit out of my traffic. I don't even think its the fault of the Cpanetworks...

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Adverten started shaving me so I went for Los Pollos, now LP is shaving and I'm going back to Adverten. After Adverten turns on the shavebot, I'll go back to Los Pollos and so on and so on. This bullshit never ends.
Do you guys not get that if a percentage of your SOI, DOI leads do not convert into a paying customer in a certain timeframe, you get shaved?
Leads must result into backend revenue for the advertiser or you get shaved/paused.
Run your traffic on rev share and you will see it with your own eyes.

Dating Smartlinks are pretty generic. They are all very similar, just sign up for another network. PPL for US has gone down anyways as well for other other Tier 1's. I'm only getting $1.40 or so per. vs $2.00 + 5 months ago.

Most of CPA niches are completely saturated, this one is the biggest but many peoples switched their work to adult cpa so I guess that is the reason of lower EPC but we have to wait. I work on Twitter and what can i tell that half year ago maybe a few accs were using LP smartlink now almost everyone
The smartlink people are not the ones doing the most volume ...
They are for the most part the bottom tier revenue wise.

Just to let you know it's from Scandinavian countries and never goes over 1:4 so you're argument is wrong. No Smartlink or CPA network has a customer where their ratio is 1:1 so your "revshare" argument is wrong as well. How does 1:4 DOI ratio relate to the backend revenue?
And no i am not white-knighting these smartlink networks, i never use them for obvious reasons.
As i said before, they are mostly used by people doing low volumes, And it could be they are indeed shaving lower volume affiliates, i have no idea.
I just made the remark a few post back because some of the people here have no idea how the backend works, and don't think about the total customer conversion flow.

It's not like that in my opinion, sooner or later they will fall by doing this forever. I think all the networks are doing shaves for a certain amount of time in order to boost their own income.some "los pollos" user will register at this network, so they don't care about old "pollos"

When you post on a bst thread (or any thread), it will be shown in the homepage and at the top of its sub-forum, which means more eyeballs for the thread. Not all people read the last page. So posting more on their thread is actually helping them.
And as a disclaimer, I have nothing against them.
