I still don't know where to start

I'm not trying to be spoon feed of course, but I would like some suggestions.

Considering I generally started to search "how to make money online" just three months ago, I read and learned a lot until now, but since my only passion has always been music production, I signed up on this site not having a real direction in my head of what I wanted to do in IM, apart from making money.

I would avoid doing something related to my niche/passion to be honest, but I'm willing to learn something new from 0. Starting a SMM agency was something that caught my attention, but still, I don't know anything about it and so I don't know if something else like SEO would be better to learn or more suitable for me.

The common advice to buy a hosting and start a blog seems to me like buying a lottery ticket hoping that's the winning one, but I know that if I don't take action I will get nowhere.

Sorry for my skepticism, I'm in a bad period and I can't do more than being paranoid.

Whatever you do, to be successful you need to know how to drive traffic.

So figure out from where you can drive traffic and then reverse engineer a niche from that.

Are you from a Tier 1 Country? If not, you can probably make more than your average wage by writing a lot of SEO content and hosting it with Google Cloud + wait 6 months

The only advice I can give is to look at the niches or industries or hobbies that you know well. Within this niche, you will probably find a market for some kind of product. I'm not saying to turn your hobby into a job but rather look at all the supporting industries related to your hobby and I'm sure you can find a way to make money there. Everyone is doing the internet marketing thing. To set yourself apart, use what you know. Knowledge is king.

Its not lottery ticket if you're willing to invest a lot of time and a little dough. And are willing to stick with for the long run even though you're not seeing results at the initial.

I hear tons of excuses for why you can't, and that you don't know enough to start.... basically anything.
I mean, you have it right there ^, if you feel that you lack the knowledge and that stops you for investing both time and money into something, read more until that change.
Read all the forums, PPC>Affiliate>Dropshipping>Instagram>Tiktok (should avoid this for now, hard to make some cash on that alone atm)>Facebook>Twitter and tons more.

Eventually, you would find something that seems more fun or more "up your ally" than the other methods, spend some time there and read even more and start a project when you feel comfortable enough to do that.

I'm a carpenter who became a gym manager and spends my 9-5 there and doing this for fun in my spare time. I mean, we all start somewhere, often by reading. It's time for you to do the same.

I wish you the best of luck, I'm sure you will be successful and learn a lot on the way. Just need to get that thumb out of your ass and start doing

I didn't make myself clear, sorry. I was trying to say that I see that advice a lot and everywhere, and took as it is for someone that is just starting out and without money to invest it seems a bit too "risky". I agree with you all from the moment that you study your plan, it certainly will be something less random.

I'm from Italy and it's a Tier 1 country (?), but I think it can be easily considered as a Tier 2 country.

This would be your biggest mistake. Long term success in IM is a lot about repetitive work (at least in the beginning).
Unless you do something related to your passion, you'd quit before you make anything...

I know you said you want to AVOID doing something in your "niche" so to speak, but it could end up being beneficial. As a side hobby, you could also start a youtube channel and talk about stuffs you know about music in general

Can you play a certain music instrument? Show people how to play it via videos

You can talk what you know about music production

These are just my small suggestions ...... you can use your smartphone and record yourself talking about music production or playing an instrument, making a music beat... if you get the drift. Your videos don't have to be cinematic top notch, they just have to INFORM people that's all.

And in the meantime, you can also consider doing something else to compliment it.

I'm into EDM too. At first I thought of selling beats, but the market is too chaotic and saturated, also I give way too much value to my productions that I would feel bad selling them for 30 bucks. Around April I had the same idea you had but never took action, so I do have two questions:
1. Do you create the sounds from scratch or do you recycle them from other sample packs?
2. Maybe it is an obvious question, but do you have your own site for selling those packs?

Music is a great niche, you can have fun and make money still. Just do what you enjoy doing with music , record it with video or write about it, post it online. Don't be about the money Initially, it will come

Since you're in music production, and have some beats ready, you could team up with some good looking girls, and a nice photographer - to create video content for small businesses in your city, small videos for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube etc which the business can use as creatives for their ad campaigns.

You could do it for free for first 3 clients. With this initial content as portfolio and client testimonials, you could start pitching to new clients. Stick to one niche first. You could do this for fashion brands, microbrewery, bars, restaurants etc.

I'm in India and I've made very good money working with Italian companies. They pay well

Man. You must start this with a "fuck it. how much worse could it get anyway" mentality.

This is just my idea. You could read the other ideas and then pick one you resonate with the most, then logout of BlackhatWorld and start working with your chosen idea. Don't come back till you have something that worked for you Just kidding.

But the more time you spend working on it, the more your chances of success. All the best.

Selling beats is extremely saturated yeah, but I guess you could make some money if you already have a name as a producer in that genre. I focus more on stuff like future bass, future house, tropical house etc.

1. I create everything from scratch. I don't want to get into any copyright trouble / legal trouble overall. If I'm creating a sample pack there might be some sounds that I layer with already existing samples, which makes them totally "new" and unrecognizable.

2. Yea, so I started out with just a YouTube channel and a sellfy account, which worked surprisingly well. I guess people are familiar with sellfy. Then I created my own site, but I'm still using sellfy for payments and deliveries.
