how many subs do you have?

are you a sort of an "influencer"? like, do you go on camera, you have a presence in social media of sorts?

making money in the music niche is the hardest as far as i can tell, unless you are good looking or something... any tooth can make money those days due autotune + hiring people for videoclips

I am at the same stage. I spent a lot of time trying to build an Instagram bot but unfortunately it still doesn't work. Mostly because of proxies.
Now I just want some quick money even if it's $1 per day but I can't find a method I really like. I don't want to do something too spammy that will annoy users.
 
It's not about starting it's about failing

Once you fail enough you see where to improve

And it's almost 2020, all the resources you need are infront of you.

I actually have one channel with about 20k subs right now, on which I produce tutorials & free content. This one is only monetized with Google Adsense and a few affiliate reviews, since I don't want to sell a bunch of stuff but instead provide quality content completely for free.

Then I have my new channel on which I only sell preset & sample packs. This one only has like 100 subs & 5k views / month, which brings in a few hundred a month.

With 5k views you get hundreds a month? eehh.. that's pretty hard to believe to be honest. How's the content? again, you are there selling the stuff like a salesman with your presence and voice?

I was wondering why do you want to avoid music niche? If you like it and know it inside out, it's way easier for you to stick to a plan than a general IM niche.

Yeah, it may sound hard to believe, but the people watching are extremely targeted.

As an example, I make packs that contains sounds "inspired by" a certain producer, so think like; "Serum presets inspired by Zedd" which may contain 50 presets that all are designed as close to Zedd's sounds as possible. And the sounds are of course of really high quality, not just some bullshit thrown together in an hour or two.

Let's say you sell a pack of 50 sounds for $7, then you need 60 people to buy and you'll get $420. 60 out of 5000 views is 1.2%, which is totally reasonable.

I think it's just the period. I got discouraged by everything, I was planning to change my bad habits and to have a better mentality, but since this summer everything got worse and now I feel nullified, without any belief. I don't really know, maybe it's the costant lack of money, both of my parents are sick, maybe my loneliness because I can't fit with friends that all they can do is to smoke or talk about nothing 24/7.

I probably got some kind of Borderline personality disorder, but guess I shouldn't be that pessimistic.

That's still pretty hard to believe to me. Most people into the music production niche download shit for free. Could you show screenshots? Where do you host the sounds?

I just find hard to believe that out of 5000 people you get 60 sales when you are some unknown dude. Most people download shit for free, 60 seems like too much. This guy has 100 subs, so he has no branding or influencer presence.

Yeah man, I've got 7+ years experience in electronic music production and sound design, so I like to think that I know what I'm doing. It's not about being known or not, it's mostly about the quality of your products and how bad you can get the viewers to want it.

It's totally okay if you don't believe the numbers, I'm not forcing you and I'm not trying to flex. Just giving a tip to the OP about what he can do to make money in the music production niche. :)
 
You could create apps related to mixing music or something similar that may catch up some interest. Easier to monetize & fully white-hat.
