I've read and watched lots of articles and videos about dropshipping since.. Idk maybe 2016...
This was my first attempt with my friend. We combine our pros in one store, added lots of products with various variations. Added size charts each product one by one. Selected the best looking images, edited everything well.
Also, we gave some facebook ads too (our currency was low so it ended up quickly and we had to stop publishing ads), after we looked for google ads because it gives extra +100 bucks for 100 spends.. They accepted all of our products but after making our first ad plan, it didn't show ads anywhere... So we said that there must be a bug so we canceled our google ads campaign.
After all, we tried some old fashion techniques like Pinterest or other social media SEO but my friend doesn't have any knowledge about those things, and I don't have much too.
So I decided to lower the prices in the store, and I decrease the price by 50% or more on all products...
It didn't work either. (I also did a giveaway on facebook ads, I offer 5% off to all products for who enters the website via facebook ads... it didn't work too)
We are not from the US, our currency is far lower than US dollars. We almost spend 50 to 70$ dollars but its too much on our currency.
I'm opening this thread one week before our Shopify subscription ends, we failed an I did listed our store on exchange marketplace, If I could sell that out at least we will recover our budget....
So, that was an experience for me and my friend but we hoped for at least 1 successful sell, but we couldn't achieve that.
I kinda know the reasons, the first reason is, the currency difference is too much, when I watch youtube videos about dropshipping advertisement tutorials, everyone sets a budget more than 100$ but our all-time budget was much lower than this. That was the primary reason..
But still, I know there was other mistakes we did in our store,
What do you think? what was our mistake?
