Why is Adsense rate so low

Maybe I am doing something wrong. I have a website with 80K to 140K monthly page views and yet I earn between $10 - $12 daily.

Is this right or am I supposed to earn more than that?

I have applied for Mediavine but process taking too long.

Adsense earning depends on countries traffic is coming from and niche.

Well, it's hard to judge with your limited information. Obviously what you can do is increase CTR.

Let's take your medium traffic 120K page views say there are 30 days in a month.

So your averaging about 4000 page views a day and get $11.

So that's an RPM of $2.75.

That's pretty respectable. All ad revenue is dependant on the Niche/Geo/Reputation of your site.

Your RPM is actually nice already. So, most likely your placements and niche is quite good already. You can probably test different sizes and placements either way and just see if you notice a difference. Usual stuff.

Given that you are already optimized you could go into details such as your content font and size and more importantly, color theory. Here's a start:

2# Improve page speed, this will often mean your ads load quicker too, which will improve CTR.

3# Turn on Auto ads from the Adsense dashboard for a few weeks and see if their AI can help.

4# Try to get more traffic sources... I appreciate that's easier said than done, but it'll improve revenue and they might naturally create a higher CTR too.

im not sure how accurate is it but isnt google paying much less for social media traffic than for organic?

I don't think they necessarily throttle revenue by traffic source. I just think users are in a different mindset when they are on, or in, a social media app, compared to when they're generally browsing the web.

So you're less likely to get a click-through.

If you're browsing for information in Chrome, you're more likely to be trying to solve a problem and see an advert that might help with that.

If you're on a social platform, you're probably killing time for entertainment.

Unfortuantley your traffic is coming from countries where adsense pay less for veiws or clicks. Target US or Europoean countries to increase your earning threshold.
