404 Server Error On Fresh Wordpress Install

Hello everyone,

I have a domain hosted on a Go-Daddy Plesk web hosting with Window as the OS.

After a successful install message, I tried to login but the URL domain.com /wp-admin but I received a 404 server error message.It seems I have mistakenly installed the WP on a DIFERRENT SERVER/WRONG DIRECTORY OR FOLDER.

Any idea what is happening and how can I correct it? Please I am new to this WP installation things.

did you gave wordpress the correct directory? i am sure its something in the dns and the root domain

Ask your hosting support normally they can help or try and ask @Festinger he has a thread on Wordpress post there and he should help if he can.

Don't use Godaddy for hosting and please don't post your actual domain in here as that could cause you issues from others.

Buy hosting from someone else.

sad but true. i had issues with them in the past; they are good for domaine purchasing but hosting sucks.

Go search for Giving WordPress Its Own Directory on wordpress dot org and you will get the details about how to do that.
