Domain extension for political purpose

Would you recommend creating website on a .com or .org domain extension if the subject concerns a political party?
 
When it is about politics, I would go for a .lie extension.

On a serious note (as it seems that you can't take a joke), you will do better with the .org as it stands for an organization.
 
I'd say .org is a better choice, but it doesn't really matter. .com was originally intended for commercial businesses, but it's what people are used to these days.

If you look at what else is out there, most major political parties in the US seem to use .org

Register both and do a redirect to be on the safe side.

Yes, both .com and .org have been registered. Just figuring out now which one would be better.
