Speaking of which, how do you disable this on Windows? I cannot stand the fact that it runs round-the-clock and I'm unable to remove it (don't know why).

for me usually for most important documents i do several backups like usb flashdrive (i know its kinda old haha), gdrive, external harddisk, and send the documents to my other email account.

Sad to hear about your loss. I think this has happened to all of us at some point. It's at that point when we learn the following lesson: If you're using a computer for business, you should at the very least setup RAID or use some external backup device.

Yeah, I know this is stupid and risky, luckily I didn't lose much of my assets. Will definitely backup everything soon.
