How do you monetize expired domains?

I can't quite figure it out. Most of my work in SEO is to create LP, get some traffic, that can get leads and wait for a ban. But I want to buy good expired domain and make something good out of it. What's the deal?
There is one problem: every good domain I saw is belongs to some specific company. How to create something out of it? There are some good sites with information only about some specific place for tourists. How to monetize that stuff?
No problem with forgotten old blogs, but this stuff I just can't quite comprehend.

You can use expired domains in 3 ways.

1: use it as a pbn, and link to your money sites.
2: use the expired domain as a money site ( Build content on it in a specific niche and then affiliate marketing stuff //// Or you monetize it with adsense) affiliate is more profitable imo
3: you 301 it to your money site.
