Can i use dot (.) in my instagram username

Hello can i use dot (.) in my instagram username - my new username will be something like "mybusinessname.sk" - ".sk" is my country domain code so my username will be my site url .
Is instagram flaging account that use dots in their usernames? I cant find relevant info , just my friend heard it at some IM seminar...
I just searched Instagram rules and find that i can use underscore and numbers , there are no dots mentioned. But i see lot of accounts using dot in their usernames .

Well, you definitely can, but you shouldn't, as it will look bad, even though is your domain name.
