I'm not a regular coffee drinker myself. I can drink it if I want to, but I've never felt the desire or need to have it as badly as it seems the rest of the world does.

I don't really get it. Why is coffee so famous? What is it about coffee that has the world so addicted to it? Is it the sugar? Is it the caffeine? It's not like you can't get sugar in your drinks anywhere else. It's not hard to get caffeine in other drinks and products too.

So what is it about coffee? And why only coffee? Why hasn't there been any other discovery or invention of other drinks, other beans, other foods, that can be turned into a drink? I'm constantly baffled and puzzled by coffee and what the craze is about it.

When a new starbucks opens up, people flock to it like a religion. I don't get it!

For me whenever I drink coffee, I start working right away. Maybe its smell makes you feel better and more concentrate on your work.

Me too. It's too bitter. I prefer chocolate. :)

I do love the smell of coffee though. Yes, there is something about the aroma I believe has some positive effects, but I really don't know if this is true or not.

I prefer coffee, exactly black coffee. cause I'm working 20- 22 hours a day.

btw I like oatmeal in the morning also :D

Well I don’t neccesarily love drinking coffee, much too bitter for me. But the smell sometimes makes me change my mind.

It is a legal stimulant which means it wakes you up and makes you want to work. Might as well ask what is the point of alcohol. Also after a while you develop a taste for it.

I love everything about coffee, the taste, smell and the color itself is lovely.

I love coffee, but I suffer from Heartburn so I can only drink black tea now :c I believe you someone become addicted to caffeine and dependent on it. I need it in the morning to get into the working mood.

I imagine it is something similar to the tobacco, the effects are not really notisable but you still need to keep consuming it or you get anxious. (Note that I don't smoke :V)

One two words, caffeine and marketing. I was never really a fan of coffee but after a few years on 3rd shift it became an acquired taste.

I drink coffee a lot because 1) it tastes good tbh and 2) because it keeps me up while i can do work

There's coffee in that nebula! It's an acquired taste. There is nothing like the smell and taste of a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. I am a huge tea drinker too (British) but I prefer coffee.
