help with expired domains

If it is possible to get for free clean 100+ RD expired domain i'm certainly in. Maybe i just have no skills to do it.....
For 3+ years of domaining, after checking literaly millions of domains I have found exactly 3 100+ RDs, com/net/org with half decent links, clean. For more exotic, non EN clTLDs there are still gems to be found, but not much.

put those domains into ahrefs bulk checker and filter out the domains with DR 7+ RD 10+ link from at least 1 good domain, then check if they are indexed or not, and also check their wayback, remove the one which got repurposed or redirected to another domain before

Drop everything with RD below 9 or 10. That's really not worth the bother and take it from there...

This is not the best idea.
By just few backlinks from very trusted source in industry (especially local) such domain can be much more valuable than with 100 RD.
Especially that Google use PageRank, not just RD.

Cheers, Greg.

- If somebody is actually serious about scraping domains and wants to build a decently sized network, he/she has to go through millions of domains. I want to see people without training, experience and with minimal resources to bother with anything less than 10RD. Those domains are not worth time nor mentioned resources.
I sure as hell am not going to spend hundreds of dollars on analysis units (either via Majestic/Ahrefs/Dom detailer), registration costs, hosting costs and content costs (not to mention time), to screw up with a RD5 domain. And I do not give a crap if it has one authority link (which it won't have anyway). And also, without experience, newbies will register penalized crap with horrible backlink profile anyway.
- Scraped clean domains with some niche relevant authority links. Sure. Maybe 1 in a million. Or invent a time machine and go back to 2010. That's why the auction prices are beyond ridiculous right now. Because you can't find domains like that anymore, unless you are pretty lucky. Which you won't be, unless you spend a lot of money and time on scrapers, analysis accounts and of course, experience.
- My posts are about how things are in 95%+ cases. There are exceptions to everything and I won't spend 15 minutes writing about all the exceptions that come to my mind. So if you want to be smart and confuse newbies to register worthless shit, be my guest, but pick somebody else to quote.

Experienced SEOs building real power and assets instead of size.
By using 10x less resources they achieving at least 10x better results.

And they have access to tools you never seen and it allow them to find real valuable domains in few seconds
and such tools not base on that stupid things such RD or DR/DA.

Such tools base on single backlink / anchor text level and NEW Pagerank formula / topic distance,
using also stats and data from last years together with source html code.

And you haven't any chance to get access to this, until you're not mid-big size SEO agency,
which spending at least $10K monthly on domains.

So, you have access only to very limited services which selling the metrics, and don't offer nothing more,
what offering popular API providers used by mentioned services.

Also you should understand, that you are not able to build nothing, about what I don't know,
because my crawlers having deep in ass your robots.txt as same, as User-Agent rules.

I am in SEO / expiring domains business from long years and I have information about each domain
which was sold at Goddady / dropped over last years, together with metrics/backlinks and traffic stats.

Because you not talking with miniclip user,
but with software engineer who reading and understanding/testing Google patents, at single algorithm level.

So, don't try to teach me about RD or how Google evaluate the links, or how many good domains are dropped/auctioned daily,
because in this case it's more than very funny.

Much more you'll achieve by simple listening / learning instead of demonstrating poor SEO knowledge.

Cheers, Greg.

"Experienced SEOs" make money where and when they can, get a nice ROI and fuck off as soon as they can, considering how unstable the entire industry is.
"Long term SEO", if that's what you were referring to, is a term for people who haven't gotten fucked over yet by update/neg SEO etc. But they will eventually.

And they have access to tools you never seen and it allow them to find real valuable domains in few seconds

Jesus christ... and where exactly do they find them I wonder? I suppose that with tools "I've never seen" in some paralel universe. There's 350 mil domains ever registered. I have list of all of them, literally looking at it. Most of them are registered.
The ones that are not are either utter shit (which is good 98%+) and the ones with at least somewhat decent backlink profiles have been abused to shit and you are lucky to get at least some clean RD10+ crap.
And regarding the ones that are registered, anything decent or brandable will be caught by huge drop catchers. Mostly Dropcatch, which owns a few hundred registrars itself.

So please, tell me, where exactly are these amazing (I am fuckin sure at the very least quantum supremacy level) pieces of software find these great domains? Do they make them up or something? Generate them out of thin air?

Oh and surprise for you. There are barely any SEO agencies that know what they are doing. And as soon as something is being referred to as "agency", meaning, there's more people that manage shit, I can assure you, that the company is all but effective.

And you haven't any chance to get access to this, until you're not mid-big size SEO agency,
which spending at least $10K monthly on domains.

Kid, I spend at the very least 3 times that a month. And my "agency" consists of... me.

Also you should understand, that you are not able to build nothing, about what I don't know,

Great. Good for you. That absolutely doesn't negate your previous statement
By using 10x less resources they receiving at least 10x better results
, considering that you can simply just get a list of everything that was ever registered and work with that and not bother with any scrapers, crawlers, robots or anything else.
But well oh well, what do I know.

Because you not talking with miniclip user,
but with software engineer who reading and understanding/testing Google patents, at single algorithm level.

Amazing. You should make a WSO explaining this. $37 should do.

Much more you'll achieve by simple listening / learning instead of demonstrate poor SEO knowledge.

"Much more you'll achieve" by not making a smart ass out of yourself publicly. Mr Yoda.
But my, would I love to have your confidence.

Sorry for butting in like this but instead of just creating a new thread, I thought I could ask something related to expired domains here. I just bought a 14 year old domain with DA/PA 20/24 for 80$. It was a typical niche forum till 2018 until it got expired. I thought it was a good deal and didn't check other metrics before buying it. I just read some of the initial comments and I checked the spam score of the domain. It is 33%. I was wondering how these metrics will affect the new website that I am trying to build? Is it possible to reduce the Spam Score or do something to make sure that the site won't get penalized in google rankings? I would be highly obliged if you could give me some advice.

1) ...You should make a WSO explaining this. $37 should do...
2) ... how unstable the entire industry is ... gotten fucked over yet by update ...
3) ... There's 350 mil domains ever registered. I have list of all of them, literally looking at it. Most of them are registered ...
4) ... anything decent or brandable will be caught by huge drop catchers. Mostly Dropcatch, which owns a few hundred registrars itself ...
5) ... tell me, where exactly are these amazing pieces of software find these great domains?...

1) Only completely idiot can sell years of experience and valuable knowledge for funny $37
Any person who is just a bit more intelligent than a house chicken, will agree with it.

2) Industry is unstable only for those, who don't know what they are doing.
As the result - they "gotten fucked" for the reason above.

3) You're just one of thousands who watching same 350 mil domains lists, but don't see nothing, except available/registered.
And with the each single day - such list is outdated by next >100 000 dropped/register domains.

4) DropCatch haven't "a few hundred" as you said, but ~ 1 200 registrars and don't care about SEO backorders,
because they reserving limited resources for the domains which they can sell for thousands of $$

5) At the same list as you can browse with services you have access to.
The biggest difference is just in proper evaluate power of those domains for given keywords.

As the results, such domains you can buy at least few times cheaper and get 10x better results,
because all the rest "gurus" buying just overpriced domains for the useless metrics and receiving poor results.

And this is the pleace, where (probably) you'll be able to understand what I said:
... you are not able to build nothing, about what I don't know,
because my crawlers having deep in ass your robots.txt as same, as User-Agent rules...

I am doing it, to see who is able to get good/poor results, which method use, where is pretty visible how metrics such RD/DA/DR are useless.
When some "gurus" "gotten fucked", usually I am able even to find which set of algorithms Google used to detect their poor PBN's.

Such large scale data processing is very useful, not just useless 350 mil domains lists, which you browsing each day,
especially when is connected with the best source of SEO knowedgle coming from the Google patents.

Never any single domain from my network / my customers was deindexed/banned,
and never will be, from the reason above.

So, when your agency will be look enough prominent and promising for me, I will find you by my software,
because I have a bunch of ways to do that.

Cheers, Greg.

I have filtered through domains looking for good ones and takes time, a lot of time.

Did I find some good ones, yes. Did I register some bad ones, hell yes. I was lucky enough to find a few niche related domains with good history and decent profiles. Also found some ok domains to build a decent PBN. While I hot some good domains I also got burned on about one in 20. They were penalized for pure spam. Wayback crawlers must have been blocked because I didn't find any PBN history.

If I had it to do over again I would just pay for some domains from someone that specializes in this like @Nargil. I could have saved some money and a lot of time.

Spam score means nothing, don`t sweat about it. If the links are decent and the domain was not spammed your are fine.

Yeah exactly, domains which were used on non-English sites generally have spam score but yeah if the spam score is high better to check carefully,

Most of the times spam score is high bcz the backlinks are from webpages with high spam score

i am glad i got reading this thread .. i have been fucking around with finding domains for myself to get a small pbn going and the more i search all i can think is there is got to be people with shit ton more resources looking into this stuff and making a couple mil a month and there is no way there is any "scraps" left .
thank you to all who posted in this thread btw .. learning a lot ..if we can keep it professional would be greatly appreciated ( atleast by me )
cheers and carry on.

The only problem is, that you not wrote any single important information about real domain power, except useless metrics and price.
Google consider age as "website age" - not the domain age, please remember about it.

Moz Spam Score is the most stupid metric created over last decade, and now (OMG) it's included in their DA.
A few most stupid "signals" used by Moz to create "Spam Score".

- Low number of pages found - so each small business site is the spam
- TLD correlated with spam domains, (e.g. .info, .cc, .pl, etc) - so Google.pl is the spam.
- Vowels/Consonants in Domain Name (repeated) - OMG, Google, Yahoo, Badoo - all of them are the spam
- Google Font API Present - that stupid, that no comment needed.
- Google Tag Manager Present - same as above
- Doubleclick Present - same as above
- Phone Number Present - same as above
- Links to LinkedIn - same as above
- Use of Meta Keywords - same as above
- Rel Canonical - same as above
- Length of Title Element - same as above
- Length of Meta Description - same as above

No one of those is used by Google same as all the rest .
Any more questions about useless Moz metrics ?

Do anybody is still surprised that his/her PBN have low power, because base on such "metrics" ?
Time to discover the truth, instead of wasting $$ for useless domains, even with RD 100

Cheers, Greg.
