Making Money Startup Guide

i am a complete n00b and was wondering where to actually start out. This seems a nice straight forward way for me to try and start on the online money making

think yourself guys , put in other peoples '' shoes '' ... ask yourself questions like '' why and who will buy X product '' ? , or '' If I need this X stuff from where I can buy it '' ... places like harro said ebay/amazon/CL /alibaba / clickbank ... any of the have sections like hot selling products , if a product it's selling well means buyers need it ( or they think they need it ) ... backwards thinking

ps. I love to say to this way to think '' follow the money '' ... peoples who know me since long time , know what I`m saying when I say this words , thing is .. everything depend by the commercial way to put a product on the market .... *( remember what storm was created on the e-commerce with products like '' acai beri '' when Oprah had this show ..... sales exploded exponentially , and was made good money with this ) ... similar but revers effect had for example the UIGEA on gambling niche ... ....

Making money means to make sales ( your product or other peoples products ) ... it's not important ! , important it's to make sales , to have sales , there MUST be peoples interested to buy that ! for example it's worthless to try to sell sunglasses from gucci or armani to some blind peoples right ?

This is a great post for startups. If you have a website, setup an autoresponder and PM ppl in forums to that. Most probably they will subscribe. This can help you build lists too. List= money

How do you set up an autoresponder to PM people in forums, could you explain that a little more clearly or in more detail?

Sorry for the nooby reply, I just have never used an autoresponder yet, still trying to take in as much info on IM as possible before I get started!

Hello everyone I am Hobo82.

Love this site, great info and great people from what I have seen.

Thanks for info to Harro and all. A newbie of sorts, Black Hat member since June 2009. Looking for ways to make some needed income on the internet. Not much of an expert on many of the things mentioned here, but I am a quick learner and need to make some consistent income, especially as I am still unemployed.

Any help from this forum will be great. Thanks!

You can see how desperate these people will be, and are willing to spend a little cash on products that will help them, even a forum PM, to these people will mostly convert if you put it friendly and recommend it.

That's what i want to know, Harro. I did all this. researched on the needs and wants of the end users, got all the information of as to how the product I am offering can help their lives and so forth.
But what happened was I got banned from the community for PMing members for this. Got "only 2 sales for a $7 product".....As i was manually PMing it was a pain in my a$$.
See, i am not saying what you said was wrong or couldn't work. I respect you guys (you are someone i adore, infact) a lot but wouldn't it be nice to point out where someone trying your method will hit the wall. My Questions:
1. how can I PM them all without getting banned?
2. How can I scrape their mail ids if you want us to e-mail them through our hosting account.
Sorry, if i sounded bad. It wasn't my intention.

First, sorry that you got banned, but that can happen. Just move on and pick another forum.

Second, I wouldn't send PM to all forum members, but pick the ones who seem the most desperate,are particularly eager to solve their problem or ask for help the most in their posts, etc.

This way you might end up only with a few dozen of prospects at a time, but the conversion rate will be great. Spread this out using more and more forums, groups, etc. and you'll get yourself a nice income on the side.

Most important: Be very careful of how you approach you prospects in your PM. Avoid any kind of sales pitch, hype, etc. You have to sound like a very nice and kind fellow member who just wants to help, by giving some advice. Tell them how that particular product finally helped you after a long time of suffering and searching for real help, etc. You get the picture.

This is a really good idea but I wanted to add my 2 cents. When choosing a forum to do this make sure it is a forum that is pretty old with lots of traffic because newer forums tend to employ posting services to get their post counts up and pm'ing one of these guys by accident will most likely get you banned.

Well if you are selling a real good product that will actually cure their sickness and get people out of debt then you aren't really taking advantage of them are you? You are actually helping them!

If you are feeling generous/sympathy you can give them the information/ebook for free!

This is great advice, even if it is an old post. I have a question about the bodybuilding niche, and the people drinking all the protein shakes, and popping the vitamins all day. Is this a desperate niche, or would it fall under the category of just wanting to do it? I hope this is a desperate niche, as there are thousands upon thousands of products to push these people.

I've been digging around here for the last couple of days, and man, I'm glad I found you guys! Although most, actually, all of these methods are over my head.
