It's all about research. People are making a lot of money selling notebooks, but you have to upload thousands of them to start getting sales. I started doing that too with bookbolt uploader, did some Halloween notebooks and plan to upload some more in the Christmas niche.

Some t-shirt designs make great notebooks, others might not be a good fit. You should go through your designs and select all those you think might work well with notebooks, and then start uploading.

You can make bedtime story books with her stories and illustrations. You can also make coloring books. If she has the talent, there's no limit.

keywords is the toughest issue and the most important.
In fact every indexing on the order of your book in amazon is based on your keyword that you use.
Regarding the description, usually no one reads it but it i good to have some highlights on it and as well not to copy paste from other sources
 
I haven't updated the thread in a while, since I've set up a second KDP business and started bulk uploading there.
Here are the numbers for the first week of September:

#1
Sales: 9
Royalties: $11.60
Books live: 110

#2
Sales: 15
Royalites: $26.50
Books live: 445

The adult coloring book with penises is selling every other day, so it has potential. I expect its sales to jump up during holiday season since people buy that shit as gag gifts for their co-workers.
 
Today I've created 150 composition notebooks with different Halloween patterns. I'm going to bulk upload them using Bookbolt Automation on account #2.

For account #1, I'm still creating quality books. I've made a composition grid book, and will be creating a couple of covers for it. Here's one of the covers I've created:

I only have one book in this niche, it's selling about 5 times per month. If I upload more, I think I could squeeze more sales in this niche.

I tackle 20 different niches/sub niches each month, and if a book sells in a niche, I create 100 to 150 more in that niche. If a niche has more than 5000 results, I don't go for it at all. Profitable niches also vary from season to season. Q4 for example is gift season, so you go for puzzle books, coloring books, activity books in general that people buy as gifts.

because it's the same illustrations would it make any issues with kdp?

There won't be any issues with KDP, but imagine bying a second coloring book and when it arrives you realize that it has the same illustrations like the one you already have. You would return it right away, wouldn't you?
 
Made $200 with 140 notebooks live in my first month. But they're terrible when it comes to passive income side. Im foucsing more on creating mid and high content books. And as well as low content books, such as puzzles and drawing book.

Its my third month, and my books only make $30/month now and its decreasing month by month.

Any tip, wouls you like to give to me?

Sales are low right now and it's normal, but it also depends on the niches you are in. Teacher planners for example don't sell well all year long. Notebooks sell the most during back to school season. That's why you should diversify your catalogue so your numbers won't suffer a lot.

Regarding the no-content books, such as notebooks, etc., do you leave the interior pages actually empty (or with a grid / horizontal lines), or do you add anything else?
 
i want to know about this thing i've heard they say that when you post after a while it gets berried
i would like to know let's say i want to do a valentine day journal can i post it now or to not get berried i should wait till "x" amount period of time "2months, month" till valentine then post it
i'm confused i was thinking to upload as much as i can but it would suck if it gets berried
