Namecheap scam again

All I know is that Namecheap isn't a one night stand company. If you can't post screenshots of them asking you to pay $210 for the domain then you are nothing but a loudmouth. The only reason they would deny you the domain renewal is if you've never verified your contact details or if your contact details are not German as per .de domain requirements. It is also possible that your domain went into the redemption status for which they will obviously charge much more but that is your fault and not theirs. There is no other reason for them to deny you renewal and if you're genuine you could report and sue them and then claim your domain by other means but I doubt your claim.

Pretty aggressive language for someone with 11 post. Half of them being in this thread.

What did you mean godaddy hating on namescheap?

You didn't answer my question at all. Do you think what they did is fine?

Again: They let me register the domain and the hosting plan, then refunded the domain after two minutes. If it was not available for renewal or went into redemption, why would they let me renew it in the first place? Either their system is broken or it was on purpose.

It seems like you are clearly on their side, like you are working for them somehow? After everything they have done? Again: Do you think it is legit what they did? And who are you to call me a "loudmouth" and say I should be charged more?

I don't know how someone can make statements like this.

Oh and by the way: Just the fact their message on the support ticket and the message they provided on PayPal are so different shows me how full of shit they are. Sending me a message per ticket like "If you don't close the dispute we will charge you even more money!!!!!!" and on Paypal like "oh, here are your options:"

Ridiculous....and here we are: Fucking SilentDreamer thinks it is okay to scam people

EDIT: And yes, I get pretty mad when this company tries to scam me or other people. It is so fucking obvious. Just alone from the screenshots I provided Paypal this case is like 100%. This shit happens when you let a bunch of russians handle customer support. Its not customer driven at all.

They can CLEARLY see in their system what went wrong, when I messaged them, when I asked for cancellation of the hosting plan etc. and they STILL REFUSE to give a refund. What the heck? Its such a obvious scam

I didn't answer your questions because I call it bullshit. Post a screenshot because quite frankly I don't believe a single word you said.

Oh okay, I make a thread like this and write so much, because I am so extremely bored. Just shows how ridiculous you are.

.de domains are shit. I've had so much trouble with them. Something as simple as setting DNS can be a nightmare. But of course - like anything german. It's unnecessarily overcomplicated.

So basically I just paid for a hosting plan, which I can't use because they didn't let me renew my domain. Went straight to the live chat, asking them whats going on. They said I can't renew the domain (lol, its not even expired wtf?) and the renewal of the hosting is NON-REFUNDABLE.

If you look a the NameCheap support pages, .DE domains are more complicated due to the registrar rules:

https://www.namecheap.com/domains/registration/cctld/cx/, https://www.namecheap.com/domains/registration/cctld/de/ and https://www.namecheap.com/domains/registration/cctld/eu/ TLDs can be renewed manually or auto-renewed not later than 5 days before expiry. Please be aware that .CX, .DE and .EU domains are most likely going to be placed into redemption right on the 5th day prior to expiration if not renewed. In case the domain lapsed, please https://www.namecheap.com/support/live-chat/general.aspx, and we’ll see what can be done in such a case.

I just added both to the cart, paid and then it shows me an error: Domain can't be renewed (???), but hosting plan has been renewed.

I'm assuming this is an IT gremlin based on the above as with most TLDs, it wouldn't be a problem.

It's quite clear in their terms that hosting plan renewals are non-refundable:

Private email subscriptions and renewals of any services (hosting packages, Private email subscriptions) are non-refundable.

I imagine you could just re-register the domain once it drops and then attach it back to the hosting package you've bought.

Just wait till the domain goes out of redemption, if no one adquires it, it will go back to 8 usd or whatever was the price, and to renew, always do it a month early at least, to avoid these problems

Here you go @SilentDreamer and now go do your work and reply Namecheap support tickets.

This post just confirms my words about you talking bullshit. You said they asked you for $210. Post the screenshot where they asked you for that. You don't look like a very bright fella. When someone asks you to post a screenshot to prove your claim you don't go posting purchase screenshots you post screenshots of the communication history and them requesting the $210. You were obviously unable to handle the situation and then blamed it on Namecheap. If you knew how to handle things they would confirm that the mistake was on their side and you'd either get a full refund or they would allow you to renew or re-register the domain. Also the PayPal screenshot that you did post shows that the domain and hosting was purchased in two seperate instances which once again confirms my words about you talking bullshit.

I have been with Namecheap for year the support is not great you get Russian chat but so far I have never been cheated. So that is my feedback.

Okay, so Namecheap refunded me, because from all the screenshots I provided PayPal it was so obvious I will win this dispute. What Namecheap wrote, how they wrote it and what they did just seemed like a huge scam. Even the fact they sent me two different replies on Paypal (making them look like angels) and another on their support ticket (which was like a bad attempt to screw me) shows how full of shit they are.

Now here is the funny part: They locked all the domains I had on this account, even they had nothing to do with the hosting or anything. Just the fact it was on my account made them block them.

Its really like a big kindergarden. These guys are scamming, lying and when it was so obvious they will lose the dispute, they would just refund but block all other domains I have on this account.

Ive used them for quite sometime and have regarded them as being pretty reliable so far. One really cant tell

You had problem with them before why you gone for them again?

And yes, i am a user of namecheap for many days. Their support are being shitty day by day. Previous Russian support stuffs were good, but maybe they changed the whole team with cheap stuffs. Now they have some indian support stuffs too, which is even worse

Not again, I had an account with domains and hosting on there for a pretty long time. I agree on the support part.

I’m glad you won this :)

Although’ve never had problem with them (Using them as a domain registrar only, for like 6 years) , I’ve learned from this thread that i will never use their hosting service xD

I have 50 websites running with them for years and never had any issues, even that I dont pay a penny for their hosting, all free, and other hosting I recommend is Siteground, very good one and support.

Keep us updated what's going on with the blocked domains.

I had an issue with them last year when they made me pay around 100$ for a renewal on a .ch domain because I didn't renew it with time or some BS like that. After seeing this thread, I think the best for me would be to change the registrar from namecheap to somewhere else as they most likely will make me pay 100$ again.

It was completely expected for them to block everything. From reading your thread anyone can tell how beyond pathetic their support is, of course they would block everything as a last fuck you, or would just delete your account.
I had a similar issue with fiverr some years ago where they wouldn't refund money their shitty system made it so it scammers could just walk away so I did a chargeback and won and then they banned me.
