Garbage.

I use them for domains and never had an issue.
Decided to try their hosting for a test project with the POD service from @yuuzokun so ordered their hosting.

Came to set up WP, all good.
Went to add free SSL, didn't work.

Spoke to CS, who after 15 minutes explained they don't offer free SSL.

I ordered an SSL - easy enough.
Unable to access this, as CS kept sending me the link to the wrong page.
CS then suggested I email support.

Emailed reply was;

you need to activate the SSL on this page https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/namesilo-hosting-utter-crap.1159273/

Once SSL activated, we will complete the SSL setup for you in couple of hours.

So here I am 2 days later, it is still not set up.

25 minutes this morning in livechat, his words were - email support.

Hosting cancelled, SSL cancelled = Life's too short for that type of crap service.

I don't use these kinda hosting company anymore. I find digitalocean type of cloud hosting more straightforward and valuable (no crap). All of my sites are now hosted in Digitalocean having different droplet (vps) for each site. Digitalocean maybe kinda expensive for most people but from a professional perspective, it does worth it.

I find that Sitegrounds hosting were the fastest for me. You might want to try that, as I too moved from Namecheap to Siteground. The only bummer is that they ask you to pay yearly for the basic hosting package with no monthly option.

Ah man, switch to digital ocean/aws. They are faaaaaar better than these idiots. Even GoDaddy, namecheap etc hostings are pathetic. You will thank me later.

It is, very bad; talking from experience. Upload a more than basic woo-commerce and will load in 15 seconds.

For a fiver you take from Vultr a rocket, can`t even compare prices, not to talk about specs.

I got a refund. I wasted 3 days waiting for them to sort it as well as about 2 1/2 hours across 5 live chat sessions.

God. WPX is the best thing that i have tried (besides custom configuration on a vps that nobody can beat.) to bad that not everyone can afford it. But, if im short on time once a page grows and has a stable income and can sustain itself im moving there.

I haven't tried this company yet. Surely gonna give it a try for a client of mine, as you happen to be one of the members I follow here. Price wise, it looks much cheaper than let's say.. wpengine. Let's see what they can offer me.

Agreed, but not for everyone. Not everyone knows how to manage and optimise an unmanaged server. For them, it is often better to just outsource the management pain; and focus on just the site.

For me it's been over 5 years with many high traffic sites on Namecheap and no issues.

The sites I run get 100% score on all speed tools.

Live support is instantaneous like Rackspace and other expensive hosts. I pay a few bucks a month for pro hosting accounts there (50 sites each).

You configured something wrong in your setup. Don't blame the host.

Exactly my previous reply. For end users a cpanel is a blessing.
