Most important thing to look for in hosting?

I was looking over some of the hosting sites and several looked really good (such as TheOinionHost). What would you most look for before signing up with a hosting company? What do you consider the most important point would be? I personally love having a fast customer service and being able to talk/chat with a real person without having to wait long periods. And of course low to no downtime.

Last month my site got deplon virus & the staff told me himself as i was sleeping that your files are infected & are we are restoring your cpanel to old backup which is clean. Go with the one which have less fake "positive" reviews spammed with aff links
Also look for the datacenter location, reputation of the datacenter it self, then take a look over the hardware and uplink speed.

And if they have blonde girls as tech support.. will be a bonus

Yea, fast technical support is the key for most of us to consider, however you would only know about their support service after you signup with them.
Another thing to consider is the security install to the server, that will help to make sure the shared server is not attacked by malicious threat.

You should look for a decent stable company with no overselling plans, I would go for a small KVM vps if you know what you are doing.
